The girls you saw were SunDolls or Cheerleaders. THey were just volunteering as Bat Girls. The Diamond Dolls will be doing several things for Baseball. They are starting an official team, and Sundolls/ Cheerleaders are invited to try out. Hope this helps! -Gurly

Most were throughout the game... the comments regarding the one horizontally challenged young lady were not until the end when they were beating us so bad they put in the backups.... -Gurly

MagPie, you and both know how frustrating it is when that happens, which is why I was trying to demonstrate how much it sucks when the Beefstuds are misrepresented by one person who wasnt even speaking for the group.... I know Mr. BullsFan4life had no bad intentions and neither did the Studs...which is why we should all be friends and LOVE each other and our Bulls!! haha The football game incident last season sucked so bad because half of the people involved werent even active members...  its just something we have to deal with I guess...  -Gurly

I am going to disagree with a lot of people here. 1st- If you want to criticize the actions of either the Beefstuds or the Bullies, you have to actually be at games to see what goes on.  Half of the people on here took something that one person said and assumed it to be 100% truth and also the whole story.  If you were'nt at the game supporting our women, then at least get the whole story before you jump to the same conclusions. 2nd- I am an active member of BOTH organizations and they are very different.  Beefstuds are funded by SG, however, the sewing club and surf club and and a crap ton of other clubs are SG funded.  While this does make them more accountable than they were when they were not funded, they are not considered official anything except fans.  If anyone is held to a high standard it is the BULLIES.  They are OFFICIAL members of and donors to Athletics. We cannot give anything to Athletes because it is considered a bribe from a donor to the Athletic Department.  We also have to be careful of what we say, because all of that is a DIRECT reflection of USF Athletics.  Even when we are not wearing our Bullies shirts or at a game, we are 24/7 held accountable.  Just clearing that up. 3rd-  For the gentleman who mentioned he had seen no change from the BeefStuds.  I understand that from an outside perspective one might not see much change, and I am very well aware of the fact that the reason for this is because the Beefstuds did a good job of digging themselves into a hole with some bad publicity, BUT, I can tell you that the organization is on the right track.  Here are a few of the differences you will start to see as the organization changes.  One of the major steps we have taken is not allowing everyone in the free world to paint up.  Just as when the Bullies wear the official yellow shirts, when someone is painted, it is assumed they are with the beefstuds when they may or may not be.  This got us in a lot of trouble during football when a fan, who doesnt attend our meetings and doesnt share our philosophy, gets painted up and misrepresents us.  This year, the actual 'Studs will have a set paint design and only active members who have signed our constitution will be allowed to paint.  If a random fan wants paint, we will do FACE only.  Also, if you are a Beefstud, there is absolutely NO DRINKING at all.  This is to prevent stupid acts of drunken idiodicy.  If that isnt a word, I just made it one.   Also, no more cursing.  If you listen carefully, we dont even say **** during the "we're gonna beat the **** out of you, and you, and you...blah blah chant."  We decided that yelling that was not something we wanted to do even though ALL of the students do it.  With two small children in the courtside seats in front of us, the Bullies were yelling out the actual curse words and I was embarrassed when the childs caretaker looked around at me and I was sitting with the Bullies when they said that.  The active members of the Beefstuds know that if they don't follow these rules, they are out, and have signed our constitution as such.  The group is not about getting wasted and yelling out profanities, it is a spirit group and every single member has USF's best interest at heart. This is why giving up alcohol, profanity, and some other freedoms should be no big deal.  I know the Beefstuds were in a slump for a while, but please do not discount the hard work they are doing to regain respect.  They really do a lot to promote USF.  They havent missed a mens or womens game, and have even started going to some baseball games, with plans for softball soon.  If you have a concern, you know who to let know about it and it will be handled, just don't jump to conclusions when they are trying very hard to clean up their image. 4th- The Bullies have NO place calling out the Beefstuds or saying they got what they deserved.  I have NO idea why in all hell two orgs who care SO MUCH about USF cannot get along, but for goodness sake GROW UP.  Bullsfan4life, you know I love you to death, but your comment about getting fussed at last game for the Twinkie sign and "knowing better this time that attacking a girls weight was off limit" was a load of it, YOU yourself started our same "EAT A SALAD" chant the second that girl came out, the Beefstuds just started their chant first and it caught on quicker.  It is the ONLY reason Coach Geno came over to them and not the Bullies.  If  you want to talk about personal attacks, lets discuss the "WHORES FROM STORRES" chant that the Bullies started.  That is pretty rude as well, but again, its all the game.  We are all there for the SAME reason, even if some people feel it may be be crossing the line to call out a specific player, bottom line is, it gets in their heads, and we do it to help our team. You get that advantage at home.  It is no different than yelling out you suck # 20 or even AIRBALLLL....because it is personally criticizing ONE player.  I can even remember when the Bullies handed out solo cups for the entire student section for when Huggins, who was convicted of a DUI came to the DOME and we all pretended to be drunk in the stands.  That entire game consisted of taunting him.  I can promise, other schools are not much nicer.  5th-  It doesn't matter what happens, no coach or player should ever come over and confront a fan.  EVER.  For Geno to say what he did, was completely out of line, and brought him down to the same level that he accused the Beefstuds of being at.  At NO time, did the Beefstud ever curse at Geno or get into an escalated confrontation with him.  This is the same reason that the football player got suspended for flashing the bird at our fans.  There are Sundome officials and guidelines/ procedures in place if he has a problem with a fan.  If he felt they were crossing the line, he could have had them spoken to and if they persisted, even removed.  Geno, unlike the fans, is an OFFICIAL PAID rep of the University of Connecticut and his behavior was unnaceptable. I do apologize for the length of my post.  I care a lot about both the Beefstuds and the Bullies and it frustrates me to no end that we cannot work together.  It also frustrates me that the Beefstuds garner so much negative publicity when they are working very hard for a common goal that supports USF.  I will talk to them about personally calling out players, but this isnt a tea party, and I will only restrict them so much.  I wrote all of this because I wanted the WHOLE story out there before one group was brought down.  We are all BULLS fans folks, even if we support our teams while wearing paint, or a yellow Bullies shirt, or even in our scrubs listening to the game on the radio and cheering from Miami.  PLEASE keep that in mind.  I am available for any other further questions, comments, or concerns, and I can assure you, they have never and will never fall on deaf ears.  I LOVE USF and I LOVE MY BULLS!
