  1. I do hope Matt Grothe reads this site. He should know that he is not going to be given a real shot at QB.
  2. I was thinking the same thing. The kid has played in seven games in two years. How does he get such a high ranking when he can't make it through a season. Sounds like a reach.
  3. I don't have access to that website, but from Rivals, it still looks as though he has a visit planned for Miami next week.
  4. Not taking anything away from Grothe, but he is not the best QB in the state on any ranking board. He is ranked the fifth or sixth best prospect in the state, behind Garner. That being said, I still think he is a very good player and a very nice recruit for USF.
  5. All very nice thoughts, but Pitt does not make the spread, Vegas does. The reason is simple, neither team is playing for anything. No matter what Pitt does, they are headed to a BCS bowl, no matter what USF does, they are not headed anywhere. Pitt will do what they need to win and no more.
  6. I could be wrong, but I heard an add advertising four tickets for $40.
  7. Silly me, I thougt it was that 111th ranked pass defense. He also had a good game against the 117th ranked TCU pass defense. This is all good news because Memphis has the 112th ranked pass defense.
  8. Not bashing here, but I am not sure why anyone would think USF could hang points on anyone. Sure TCU was there, but Louisville is a very good team. I was not in the camp that UM was a top 5 program and Louisville proved that, but UL and UM are both top 15 to top 10 teams. USF will be lucky to stay in this game by half. UL would destroy USC.
  9. This Army teams is very similar to TCU.  While TCU has a good passing game, Army has a good running game. Army has given up 196 points in five games, that is 39.2 points a game.  Of those teams they have played Louisville has a good team, thus USF should be able to move and score on Army.  The big difference is offense.  Outside of the UCONN game, Army has averaged 22 points a game, not bad.  Interesting is looking at the Louisville game.  UL has played four games, of those four games, they have given up 28 points, of which 21 were against Army.  I have no idea just how good Louisville is, we will find out Thursday, but it appears that Army can move the ball.  USF wins this game if the D-line can handle the Army rushing game.  If USF has trouble with the option it could be a long game for USF. My opinion, I think USF wins, but I think Army is going to rack up a lot of rushing yards.
  10. A CB that USF wanted, offered, but chose another State School. He has distinguished himself as one of the best defensive backs to ever play the high school game in the state of Florida. His interception Friday night in a victory over Dunnellon gave him 28 interceptions in his career and moved him into a tie for fourth-place on the state's all-time list.
  11. Scratch Joe Burnett, he won't be coming to USF.
  12. Yes, and USF is ranked ahead of FSU right now. I guess we see what those rankings are worth.
  13. How does it work in the case of the kid at USF that got suspended for this year. He dropped out, and is coming back, the LB out of Miami. Isn't there a rule that the players have to have a certain number of hours completed to play?
