telephone ticketing and no cash at concession stands whether at music festivals or sporting events are not changes that I am a fan of.
Welcome to the new age of major events. It was trending that way pre 2020 and the pandemic really expedited the process.

Its not a curse where USF decided to hire Kelly as an AD, or where Kelly decided to hire Scott, and then Golesh instead of Herman. Although we will see how Golesh recovers. These were just bad decisions, and us losing has nothing to do with a a statue
I get that we're all passionate fans, but repeating over and over the same schtick in different threads is a bit of overkill.

OL and DL. these 2 positions are the biggest game changers in football
This. If you shore up the players closest to the ball first, everything else can fall into place.

Great helmet! Much better than the white one with the gold iron bull.

Another good option is the I-4 Cup, which is a reference to Interstate 4, which connects the two campuses. This name is also catchy and descriptive, and it would be a good way to honor the rivalry between the two schools.
I-4 doesn't go to Boca. I-75 would be the closest one, but its still not direct.

Correct, but which TV network? This could be a huge game.
Network is decided when game time is decided. I'll be on the ESPN family, so it depends on what other games are going on that week.

Start time for Memphis game wont be announced until 2 weeks before, probably around October 22-23. ESPN has a 13 day window to decide I think, and sometimes a 6 day rule.

So I was reading somewhere that if the BIG or SEC expanded with Duke, their stadium capacity would be the smallest in both conferences. Aren't they around 40K? I'm hoping that the great minds leading us in this have considered realignment implications of building too small.
Yes, Duke's stadium has been approximately 40k since 2016.

Grass areas, green seats, and a dug in field would be awesome.
A field below ground level might be a challenge in Florida with the water table being so close to the surface.

Standing room/grass berms would be cool. I have no idea if it'll happen, but it would be neat!
This setup at Navy has always caught my attention. Grass below, seats behind.

With TV viewership up, smaller stadiums are the future.
As others have said, I'd rather be a little conservative on size to begin and then expand when necessary.

I was hoping for a 7pm FAU game, but 330 is fine too.

I dont know if scared is what I would call it, but let's just string one game at a time. Based on how we're playing all games are winnable. It's all in the execution of the gameplay.

Playing CU or UCF seems slim but possible, if this list of possible bowls is what's true. I don't care who/where a bowl is when we make one. First Responder Bowl is the only Big 12 possibility, and being in Texas I assume they'd spot more regional teams to that location. Pac12 could be First Reponder or Gasparilla, and likewise with the First Responder Bowl, it would probably be a better chance for a regional team.

The top-ranked American Athletic Conference champion will be in the mix for the Fiesta, Cotton, or Chick-fil-A Peach if it's the highest-ranked Group of Five champ - and if it's not in the College Football Playoff.
The American Athletic Conference bowl tie-ins and affiliations will mostly be based on geographic location while avoiding repeat appearances.
The ESPN owned and operated bowls will move teams around to create the best possible matchups, but there are a few set ties and affiliations.
The conference is supposed to get a spot in the Military Bowl in 2023, and 2025, and it's in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl in 2024.
Also thrown into the mix is the EasyPost Hawaii Bowl, which is supposed to alternate with the Armed Forces Bowl, but last year the AAC didn't put a team in either one.
The American Athletic are affiliated with these bowl slots ...
- Wasabi Fenway Bowl vs ACC
- Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl vs Conference USA and/or EasyPost Hawai’i Bowl vs Mountain West
- Military Bowl Presented by Peraton vs ACC
The American Athletic Conference will get a chance at putting four teams in these bowls ...
- Duluth Trading Co. Cure Bowl vs Group of Five
- Frisco Bowl vs Group of Five or Army
- New Mexico Bowl vs Mountain West
- Myrtle Beach Bowl vs Group of Five
- RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl vs Group of Five or Army
- SERVPRO First Responder Bowl vs ACC, Big 12, or Pac-12
- TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl vs SEC
- Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl vs ACC, Pac-12, or SEC -
Navy does have a set of navy blue pants, so it's possible the pull those out this week.

I have to wonder if Exploria Stadium where the bowl was played previously is being resurfaced or something like that this offseason.

Better be real grass, players prefer that
I prefer grass as well, but with lacrosse reportedly sharing the stadium turf may be in the realm of consideration.
Honestly, I don't understand why lacrosse won't share with soccer. Maybe someone could clarify that for me.

I saw on social media that the game will either be at 3:30pm or 4pm, and on ESPNU or ESPN2. Final decision will be made after Saturday's games.

This logo at midfield. SOUTH FLORIDA in the left endzone, BULLS in the right endzone. Grass mowing patterns (or turf whatever we get) that alternates like Oregon (below)

I believe I saw our own @Mike Stuben on X provide the following information "copy/pasted since X links dont transfer.
- SG cut all programming budgets for everyone funded by A&S fees, including their own budgets. Lots of reasons, but the biggest is the hundreds (if not over 1000) minimum wage student jobs that all cost more. The pool of funds doesn’t get bigger, so something had to give.
- One more note, if we had buses, it likely would have been 3 buses making two loops. Each bus seats about 50, so if they were full, this impacts 300 student rides. I just don’t want anyone saying the lack of buses impacted thousands of students….
- I hope those students find a way to the game. Also, remember SG funds Uber discount codes for students, and this would be an excellent use for them. (To help cut the cost down, I know they won’t cover the whole cost)
- (Last note, I promise) Students who have concerns, reach out to SG. I’m not their spokesperson, just sharing some info because the SG social accounts are more active on other apps, and I’m not certain they see stuff on here.
I also saw he said in response to someone about Bull Runners is that the Bull Runners cannot drive on the interstate.

Same...it took a long time to wear gold pants....never think of that as a classic. When did we first wear them? I remember the reaction of people but not the game.
I feel like it was no earlier than 2010. I did find this pic from the UTEP game which was 2011, that might have been the first time.

Coincidentally the team is 3-0 when wearing the green pants....I'd say bring them out for the Memphis game pronto.
