I have a bunch for Charlotte if anyone needs any. I'll be on a cruise and wont be attending. If needed best way to get a hold of me is private message.
I may be in touch once we line up the family's Thanksgiving plans. Thanks for being able to share your tickets.

If I recall this was our first game with the Iconic U logo & Alabama's last game in Birmingham

The fear is that the contract dictated SEC refs like last year's Gator game and we all know what happened there (one of the worst biased-called games ever seen, SEC announcers even agreed during game).
But who knows, we are home and it might be AAC who hate us too.
I'm sure every contract is different, but my understanding was that if the game is not at a neutral site its the road team conference referees that call the game.

Should we get the Rice kick time today?
I thought the rule was 13 days, or 6 for short notice so I'd say its likely unless they're waiting to align some of the priority slots first.

Another thought for an Army-Navy conference game.....move it to Week Zero.

KnowBe4 and Tech Data world headquarters are in Clearwater?? Tech Data stock at all-time high. Let's go.
Not anymore for Tech Data. They merged with a competitor Synnex a few years ago and are now TDSynnex, and the HQ is now in California. They do have the office in Clearwater as far as Im aware.
As for KnowBe4, that's intriguing too, but also loosely connected to Scientology. I'll just leave it at that, so the association might be what the athletics dept. wants to look for.

Reliaquest maybe. He's a fsu guy though. they do have a partnership
Could even be tech companies with a presence in Tampa Bay. TDSynnex, World Wide Technology, Connectwise

Hopefully Outback or Publix. If Publix does hopefully they make more commercials featuring USF tailgating at the OCS and play those commercials basically 24/7 like they already do with their other commercials lol
Just for reference, Publix has naming rights on the Tigers spring training stadium in Lakeland for $3mil over 15 years, which started in 2017.
Publix Sponsors Naming Rights to Florida Baseball Stadium
WWW.WINSIGHTGROCERYBUSINESS.COM
On Feb. 9, 2017—the first day of the 2017 Major League Baseball spring training season—the stadium will be renamed Publix Field at JokerLooking at what C. got from FBC Mortgage for their stadium, it was a 10 year $19.5mil deal starting in 2022.
Protective Life's deal with UAB's stadium is $1mil a year for 15 years starting in 2021.

i would think big florida companies would line up for naming rights
I would hope so too, but C. got FBC Mortgage for naming rights on their erector set. Local to Orlando for sure, but not so much the big Florida company we might be thinking.
My gut says some tech company will put their name on the stadium, but who knows who? Hopefully one with roots in Tampa Bay.

I don't even blame him for the 5 schools the AAC lost since we are trying to get out as well.
It was his idea to add Charlotte, Rice, and North Texas over more accomplished teams like Marshall and Appalachian State
Yesterday he made clear that the AAC has no intent to go after Western schools, which in my opinion is huge mistake.
The current state of the AAC is his fault, hence I think he should be fired.
His contract likely has a buyout clause, so it's not as easy as giving him a pink slip.

Does the AAC even add to replace SMU?
I would prefer The American to stay as is. Let the dust settle after a few years.

If we’re good and fsu leaves, we get picked up. SMU went from no chance of being picked up, to now an ACC member because of convenience. Crazy days.
The only reason SMU got in was because they aren't getting paid for 7 years....plain and simple. We'll have our chance, but now was not the time.

If played right, the hypothetical PAAC should get to 12 (or the minimum for a championship games, 10 would be better) and stay put until something happens with the ACC. If the ACC blows up in a few years, the PAAC could scoop up Duke, BC, UCONN, UNC/Louisville, Pitt and Syracuse (depending on who leaves for where). That would be a solid Power Conference with monetary leverage.
There is no minimum number of teams to host a championship game. The rules changes back in 2016 I believe.

FWIW
Honestly the more I think about it, a 9 team PAC-AAC for 2024 would make more sense for football scheduling. Finding a 5th OOC game on short notice (without it being an FCS school) would be challenging. Most teams likely have 4 OOC's already scheduled so a 9 team conference with 8 conference games would be a plus.

Yeah, I think I'm going to confine my USF related podcasts to GameTime, CC and Darek's ...
Can you clarify what podcasts Gametime and CC are? I want to add a few to my rotation and couldn't find them when I searched Apple Podcasts.

If FSU/Clemson/UNC/UVA do bounce for the SEC and we are one of the backfills who else would y’all want to make the jump with us?
my top 3 would be Memphis, UConn, Tulane/SMU
dream scenario would be WVU, Cincinnati, UCF.
West Virginia is highest priority on my list. Those games in the 2000s were fun and was probably arguably our best rivalry outside of UCF. The rest of your suggestions would fall into the 2nd tier for me. After that, is there anyone in the Sun Belt that could jump to fill that mid-Atlantic gap if UNC/Clemson/UVA bounce? ECU could be a maybe as well.

I still think big ten has MD & Rutgers to lock up the east and USC & UCLA to lock up the west. They will probably go Southwest & Southeast
Or Northwest (Oregon and Washington)

Was the 2008 shirt the one that had the three athletes (baseball, basketball, and football i think) on the back (including Grothe) and the players numbers were 20, 0, and 8?

Am I the only one who doesn't see this as a "classic" uniform for the team? At home, I traditionally think gold helmet/green jersey/green pants, and then maybe gold/green/white. Gold pants are nice, but I just never think of them as "our look"
I don't mind the alternates either, but do think they overused them against C.
