Where will M and W Golf play?

From what I've understood, the golf programs have been at a different home course for many years.  Not sure where that is.

The article I read was that the practice facility on the north side of the Claw property will remain for golf locker room and team facilities

  2. I like this from Part 1 about the uniforms.

    Quote

Even when it comes to something like uniforms, Golesh says the emphasis will be on setting a clear standard and identity for the program, while having the flexibility to change things up once in a while.

"We were just talking about uniforms...like, do we do something new and unique?", says Golesh. "And I'm like, how about the green and gold, and the gold helmet, and we just rock that, and we go with that because that's who we are, that's how it was built. And I do think that for recruiting, you need to have a black uni, and you've gotta have a change-up here and there. But what's our foundation, what's our base? And I think I've asked that since I've been here. What is our total brand? Who are we, and what do we want to do?"

Was impressed with the way he used “we” continuously.

We need him around our program more for sure

He's definitely USF adjacent.  He currently is the EVP for Corporate & Community Development for the Vinik Sports Group, who operates the Yuengling Center, as well as the Lightning and Amalie Arena.

Where is that new rendering from...?

EDIT: No football operations center, nor Populous watermark, makes me think it's fan-designed. Isn't there an architect/engineer guy on the internet who designs civil projects for fun?

I believe that one was a concept from someone just having fun a few years ago.

Former B1G commissioner Kevin Warren literally stated that getting in the L.A. market was a big reason for their westward expansion. The B1G is now in the 3 largest markets in the country. While the TV market may not matter as much, the market size will and Tampa is only growing.

    North/Central....check!

    East....check!

    West....check!

    South....????

I wonder how many B1G alumni live in the Tampa Bay area?  If that would make any difference?

I would have to think there's quite a few.  Just looking at the alumni chapters in online searches...

    - Michigan has a Central Florida chapter (seems more Orlando based, but hey close enough)

    - Michigan State has 3 along the Florida gulf coast (Villages, Tampa Bay, and Suncoast/Sarasota)

    - Ohio State has 3 in and around Tampa Bay (centered in Brandon, The Villages, and Sarasota)

    - Penn State has two in Tampa Bay plus Sarasota and The Villages

    - Minnesota has networks in Tampa Bay and Sarasota

    - Wisconsin has chapters in Tampa Bay and Sarasota

The set up for the AAC tournament is weird. I thought until just now that we had eliminated both ECU and UCF from the tournament. I guess we want to avoid ECU since they are ranked and  probably a stronger team?

ECU still had two of their stud starting pitchers available between today and tomorrows games.  If they use one today against UCF, it leaves one remaining for the best of two Saturday games against the Bulls.

Could happen to anyone.  There was a time when these things would be straight double elimination especially with 8 teams.  Want to really get confused?  Go check out the SEC bracket.   1st round single elimination, then double and crossing all over the place.... and 2 teams didn't even get in.

ACC has a different format too.  4 pools of 3 teams each.  Round robin in each pool.  Each pool winner makes it to the semifinals Saturday and the winners on Saturday play in the championship game Sunday.

I think they could definitely try to swipe FSU and Miami, the question is does the SEC make a move for FSU first. FSU would probably prefer the SEC over B1G for regional fit and the rivalry with UF IMO, and the money will be similar enough. FSU and Clemson the SEC makes too much sense. So who does the B1G add in addition to Miami if they go that route?

UNC, Duke, and Virginia would be good targets for the Big Ten.  They're all AAU universities.

Wonder what the rate will be on those USF bonds.

    Per this article, 5.5%.

    Quote

USF will seek approval to take on $200 million in debt over 20 years, with a taxable fixed interest rate of 5.5%. The other $140 million will come from the school.

More grumblings about which ACC schools are looking for an out.

To add some detail, I also came across this from the Noles247 page

FSU is now one of seven ACC teams that are united in exploring what it would take to break the ACC's Grant of Rights agreement

    We have almost no pitching

More accurately, we have young pitching.  Out of 21 pitchers on the roster, 13 are freshman/sophomore with half of that being freshman.  Thats tough to just expect the younger players to fit the roles immediately.
