    It didn't sound like the supply chain was the only issue for the delay. $6mil gift from USF Federal Credit Union to name "Champions Way". Maps show this with be the entry pathway to the stadium just north of the track stadium from Genshaft Drive

    Sounds like full stadium project delayed to 2027 due to further analysis of the process, but the TGH Center will possibly be ready sooner? It sounded like today to me.

    I believe it was said they need unanimous decision to change the format for the next two years, but after that its simple majority. Things may have changed, but that's the last I heard. I did a quick search and all I was able to find is that they may push for a 5-7 model as of early November 2023 articles. I couldn't find anything definitive. This one had a good full synopsis. Change is coming to the College Football Playoff SPORTS.YAHOO.COM With decisions to be made on an expansion format, a new CFP director, revenue sharing and a new TV deal, there's plenty at stake as college football's power brokers...

    I noticed hotels selling out too. Just this morning I targeted the Embassy Suites Boca, but then I noticed the bowl website updated team hotel info and designated that one for HOT band and it was sold out.

    The bowl site is being updated slowly but surely. I saw that the related hotels page was being updated, showing where the teams, bands, spirit teams, and media are staying. Last years seating chart was taken down, so I'm hoping we see a new one soon. The USF site when i reserved my tickets said east side. I don't know if we know sections yet, but that's an idea. I assume that means we're the designated road team.

    It's at least 6-6 (top 6 champs and 6 at large) for 2 years. After that is dependent on what the Pac does, could go to a 5-7 model (Top 5 conference champs plus 7 at large)

    Going to look into details tomorrow. Considering a round trip driving there and back same day from Tampa area, but might snag a hotel if price is right.

    If athletics and the foundation do not show concern with this change, we have to trust that whatever is being done with this change is for the better. Next weeks meeting will be very interesting.

    Covid protocols gave an additional year of eligibility on top of the existing redshirt and medical redshirt rules that can normally get up to 6 years.

    UH didnt really have a choice, Aloha Stadium was falling apart and the state/city havent 100% lined up the replacement stadium yet.

    I had a hunch something was up with uniforms for this game. Was hoping for a Tampa Bay uniform like the basketball teams, but this works. Glad they're wearing them against another green/gold team in conference.

    Should they? No. Will they? Probably. I was at the Temple game in 2015 when the team won their 6th game to become bowl eligible for the first time in 5 years and they did. It looked pitiful, but they did.

    I believe they did this in 2022 as well with UConn, Louisville, and Charlotte. It's more of a round robin series kind of thing to let 4 opponents crossover for 3 games in a weekend.
