    Nope, Arthur Jones, basketball player in the early 70s signed a contract with the Chiefs and got cut on the last day of training camp. He was also USF's first black scholarship player. Its Chapter 3 in A Raging Bull.

    Yeah I dont see it as a knock, talking amongst the people who go to games, everyone wanted it to be on Monday for that reason. It wont be a big crowd, especially now that students have to pay, probably just the regulars.

    Yeah, I've been reading it all week. Its awesome, I love it. I was waiting til I finished to post a review/anything about it. Trivia question from the book: Who was the first USF player to sign with an NFL team? Hint: Notice I didnt say USF football player.

    Just said on Bay News 9 Coppin St won tonight, so they are the opponent on Monday.

    CBS jumps around to whatever the best game is, but the main game on in the Tampa market is going to be Duke-VCU(and Anthony Grant). I know it came out he wasnt interested, but maybe he's Nick Saban too.

    Wow, thats crazy(whatever the reason is). The best football,basketball programs in the country allow walk-ons and get 1 or 2 players a year from that pool. I would think a school in Florida could/should have as much talent with walk-ons than most northern schools scholarship players in golf.

    Maybe he is so excited about interviewing for our job, he forgot to prepare for the NCAA. Yeah, that sounds good. I'll go with that. My top choice would be S. Illinois coach, but it sounds like we probably wont get him so I dont know.

    Whats funny is the hosts no almost nothing about USF, but the interns/producers/other people who work there are mostly USF students/alums.

    Well, its spring break so I dont know if he heard anything, etc.

    They are usually one of the top if not the top station in ratings. There are other options now, but for awhile they were basically the only option

    Thats what I'm hoping/thinking. I just put it on there, its apparently either real or a weeklong joke with someone else, it was his status update two days ago. But I'm not going to react until we get the official word.

    I'm not on his friends list, and its set to private so I can only see the status, not if anyone asked him about it already on his wall.

    Why doesnt he allow walk-ons? I'm not to familiar with college golf, but walk-ons are a part of most programs.

    In the Trib it said it was a USF student, thats funny, I figurd it was someone on the board.

    And maybe you forgot, but USF did overshadow UF-FSU last year.....it was the same time/day we beat WVU.

    Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. They were overrated when they beat Georgia in the Sugar Bowl that was in Atlanta, didnt everyone expect them to win that game? :

    The Big East was down a little since it was so young. A couple of years from now, it'll be the strongest conference again.
