The NYC subway system is strictly in the city. You can, however, get to the stadium by going to Penn Station and taking a commuter train from there. I actually live in the area and there is a way to get from NYC to New Brunswick, NJ. New Brunswick is a 5 minute drive to the stadium. A matter of fact you can see the stadium on the train ride in. Take either the A,C,E or the 1,2,3 to New York Penn Station. Then catch the New Jersey Transit, Northeast Corridor Line, from New York Penn Station to New Brunswick. (I suggest that you go to the NJ Transit waiting area to purchase your ticket and wait for your train announcement. You will notice a large majority of the people traveling on the NE Corridor line.) After a 30-45 minute train ride you will be in New Brunswick. Across Albany Street at the Ferren Deck there is a shuttle that will take you to the stadium. Here are more details on the shuttle http://www.scarletknights.com/facilities/directions-stadium.asp
