  1. I agree, but it's not the first time I've read those same 4 schools. It's possible they've either written off Florida in general, or they just really like 3 of the 4 and don't want either of USF/UCF alone.
  2. I just don't see a world where any G5 team makes it to the playoffs with a single undefeated season. There will always be a 1 lose SEC/PAC/BIG team that will have "a much tougher schedule" that would take the spot. The second undefeated year MIGHT be the lucky one depending on how everyone else's records work out. (Not that I think we're going undefeated anyway... but it would be cool.)
  3. I don't really see a version of this where they don't take Cinci.
  4. No way. Sorry, but that's not going to happen. Any non-P5 school would likely need two undefeated seasons back-to-back to get in.
  5. It's kind of like a screwed-up rich family VS. one in a trailer park. The house looks nice from the outside, but is just as mess-up on the inside.
  6. I'm not saying they will, but... I can tell you that (for whatever reason) people outside of our geographic area generally think of UCF as the more "known" entity. I've talked with many out-of-state family and friends that (again for some reason) have a positive opinion of UCF. I don't have an explanation for it, but it has held true for me on several occasions.
  7. Prior to BYU being so vocal, I felt if was going to be Cinci UH USF UCF, now I'm afraid you're probably right.
  8. I didn't say that I didn't understand why he has an opinion. I just don't understand why he thinks his opinion is that important.
  9. I don't understand how he could have any say in the matter.

  11. I pray our getting into the B12 has nothing to do with whether or not we can beat FSU. With the exception of MAYBE OU, FSU is better than every team in the B12.
  12. We don't recruit Texas players because they know they never/rarely will play in their home state. If we were to join the B12 then TX highschoolers now have a situation that they a can go to Florida for college and still play a bunch of games every year in their neck of the woods. We become a new recruiting competitor.
  13. UT runs the conference. They hold ALL the power. Pretty much whatever they want they get. What they want is a team they already regularly beat in recruiting (UH), and not a new team to compete against for players (USF/UCF).
  14. Not sure, but I just saw this: http://espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5862368
  15. Help support and honor the brave men and women who protect our freedom every day. USF Football is offering these two great initiatives below to support and honor current military members, retired military personnel, and veterans. Nominations for the Grow Financial Hero of the Game USF Athletics is seeking nomination of current service men and women, retired military personnel, and veterans to be our Grow Financial Hero of the Game during our seven home football games this year. These heroes will be honored on the field during a USF Football game. If you would like to nominate a friend or family member, please click HERE. USF Athletics will contact the selected honorees during the 2016 season. Please note that with a limited number of opportunities to honor our heroes through this program, not all submissions can be selected during the upcoming season. Seats For Soldiers Over the past few seasons, USF Football fans have taken the opportunity to provide a game day experience to active duty and military veterans through the Seats For Soldiers program. This year we would like to extend that opportunity to allow our fans to provide season tickets to those who have served our country. In conjunction with Vet Tix and the USF Office of Veterans Success , fans can purchase a seven (7) game season ticket for $120 to support and honor current military members, retired military personnel, and veterans. Click HERE for more information or purchase today by clicking below. Thank you for your continued support of USF Athletics and Go Bulls!
  16. Interesting article. I would love more info on how the valuations were determined, but it definately puts USF in a positive light. .... the other take-home from the article comes from the comments where as always Big 12 fans sound like out-of-touch tools.
  17. People don't seem to understand this. There is practically nothing that USF as an institution can do to get themselves into the Big 12 at this point. It's not our decision and it's not our process. What we want is not important. What we think about ourselves is not important. It's what the Big 12 wants and what the Big 12 thinks at this point that matters. Heck, if I was asked which conference we would best fit into the Big 12 would be one on the last I'd choose (I'd pick the ACC BTW), but at this point we'll take what we can get. EVERYONE in not in a P5 will take what they can get and they'll like it. Because (again) it's not our choice. We are just frat-boy plebs at this point yelling "Thank you sir may I have another."
  18. Houston adds FedEx money. They've been VERY vocal about that.
  19. I don't believe they've given any details about anything at this point. But if they decide to expand to 71 teams I think we're in!
