  1. This. Even our Bucs press corps isn't homer-ish. We're likely the only NFL city in the country without "woohoo our team is the best" NFL coverage.
  2. "Esteemed members of the B12 selection committee, I would like to conclude this presentation by reinforcing one central theme: If we had any other options, we would not be groveling to you rednecks like this."
  3. "USF Women’s Soccer Reaches Highest Ranking in Program History" This can only help: http://www.thedailystampede.com/2016/9/8/12838890/usf-womens-soccer-reaches-highest-ranking-in-program-history
  4. This. We need to hope that the non-Texas schools tell UT: "You can have Houston, but we want the Florida schools."
  5. Interesting. The top... The rest: http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/aac-power-rankings-week-1/2292514
  6. http://www.yardbarker.com/college_football/articles/looking_at_big_12s_potential_expansion_candidates/s1_13132_21745216 Not exactly glowing....
  7. I don't believe that anyone with a national voice has EVER said that USF would get into the B12 if only two teams are chosen. It's not a new concept. Like it or not.. we are the underdogs here, likely even to UCF which has a larger national visibility.
  8. "Texas Politics" are the main reason that I really want nothing to to with the B12. I wish other options... any options... were available.
  9. Unfortunately that "someone" is a random disconnected journalist in Boston with no actual connection to the situation.
  10. That TX veto is one of the main reasons I think this is fake (That and NIU doing so well.). If it's NOT fake then someone is going to get fired because no one involved would want this released.
  11. I'm sure this is more Twitter crap, but I find the "veto" column interesting:
  12. The selection process for the B12 is controlled (at least outwardly) by the university presidents.. So yes, academics will factor in.
  13. I've still seen no one associated with the decision actually link USF and UCF. It's still very possible that they aren't viewing us as a package deal.
  14. If this is accurate (and like everything in this that's a big if), all it means is that all of the reasonable teams are still in contention. The fact that they are still evaluating two more AAC schools after Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis, UConn, USF, and UCF means that basically everyone who was ever really under consideration is still under consideration.
  15. It's not just USF. I don't think ANY non-P5 school will ever end up in the playoffs after a single undefeated season. A non-P5 school would need a perfect or almost perfect season, then a bowl win, then a HIGH pre-season ranking and THEN an undefeated season to get a playoff bid. Even then, it would likely take a "down" year for some of the historically good teams.
