Does the Forum still have a marketing agreement with the Dome? In any case, I think we should "start" at the Dome, fill it up (for a change) then get excited for the "need" to move it to the Forum.

Former Oracle Sports Editor here (should I admit that?) Anyway, note that this is a "commentary" and therefore the "opinion" of the author and not the backing of the paper. Game and news stories serve to report facts. Feature stories serve to highlight a particular athlete. Commentary/columns serve to entertain and promote water cooler chat like this. Back in the day we considered ourselves professional journalists (the school - I think SG - paid us, which is by definition the meaning of professional) and we followed all the rules the Times and Tribune are subject to and were treated the same in terms of accessibility. Also, many of the editors and staff writers on the Oracle were (still are?) freelance writers for the Times and Tribune. Anyway, the "we/us" this is completely a fan thing. No media outlet anywhere (print or electronic - with the homerish exception of Gene Deckerhoff (whom I've also been priviledged to work with) uses those terms. Oh how I don't miss those 15 hour days of going to class then "putting the paper to bed" before heading to Montana's for some "spirits."

We have 8 games against schools that have combined for 11 national titles: HOME Connecticut (1999, 2004), Georgetown (1984), Michigan (1989) and Villanova (1985). AWAY Cincinnati (1961, 1962), Georgetown (1984), Louisville (1980, 1986) and Syracuse (2003). Have we played 8 national champions in our history?

I know Harry from his days at Bogie. He definitely knows his girls/womens hoops and is well connected throughout the state as well as with some national tourney types. I was happy to see him leave HS for USF and glad he is going to stay a while.

Even the brothers' teammate Sredrick Powe (who all shared the Times player of the year award at Brandon) would have been a decent recruit. Instead he goes to Tally CC and then Birmingham Southern ...

It's always a bad thing when you lose games you are "supposed to win" and in the near future (like my lifetime) I would say USF is supposed to win every time against UCF. I don't ever want to lose to the other school. Lose to Miami, I get it. Lose to FAMU, who cares. Lose to Sir Lancelot and Co., can't fathom the notion.

Wow, look how far the UCF (109 of 119)-lead new-look CUSA (11 of 12)has fallen even before playing a game. Definitely some sloppy seconds here ...

I toured FIU first, then USF. Pretty glad I chose to become a Bull. The Sun Dome was just too cool to turn down.

Don't forget the root of all evil: money. I wonder, does the NCAA make more if they sell 15,000 tickets flat out and 4,000 don't show or if they sell 11,000 and add in the concessions?
