  1. Exactly. Why would the guy that’s had success continue to work for the guy that’s never had success? Pretty absurd idea.
  2. Funny in that how people choose to look at data and label people has more to do with how they perceive things than actual empirical data.
  3. It’s super funny that this board has labeled one of the listed as a program builder and two as program destroyers but both of the destroyers are more than 20% more successful than the “builder”. Even more funny is that people question CJL’s success here despite the fact it’s leaps and bounds greater than any other coach we have had and it was against far more difficult competition.
  4. It’s not often you would request that take, I tried to treat the occasion with the specialness it deserved.
  5. I had a Turkey and mashed potato bowl at WaWa once, does that count?
  6. You already know that AAC wins compared to Beast wins are less valuable than Turkish Lira to US dollars.
  7. I get it and I’m not mad at him at all for it but I also wouldn’t go so far as to say he is always a Bull as he always was sort of half in, has no real connection to the program and he bolted after his one successful year having had 2.5 years of failure that was well on his way to earning him the fate that has now fallen on him in less than 2 years at a program that has expectations. I doubt anyone there is going around claiming his eternal attachment to FSU.
  8. That was back when they invented strength and conditioning coaches and there were 50 programs in the nation
  9. I don’t particularly care but I believe they probably have a fairly low ceiling; why would anyone intentionally ever go to Nebraska?
  10. You think that if he stayed here that would have been his first time being successful anywhere. I guess it’s possible but given his track record doesn’t seem likely. It’s easy to say all the things you would have done differently had you made different decisions but it’s much harder to actually be successful at the decisions you have actually made. CwT has coached many places for many years, exactly one season was even close to of note but I am sure that had he stayed here that of course would have been the second one and far more glorious than all of the others.
  11. Or load up on transfers from the portal
  12. He will have more time because they are deep into failing, no one honestly has expectations of their national return and he has an actual and natural connection to the program.
  13. It’s super easy to have tons of success at all of the programs you have never once stayed at or had any success at
  14. Nebraska is decades away from relevance where as FSU is years away from national championships. Also not exactly sure why anyone at FSU or here should care about Frosts failures. I guess that’s an accomplishment
  15. He didn’t win he did worse, more than 50 percent of coaches could have came in and went 4-8 or better but cwt came in and lost to an FCS team on his way to 2-10. That’s bad, the worst we have ever had, and what you would expect from a bad coach, the kind with a lifelong losing record and no bowl victories. I think that’s fair.
  16. No one begrudges him his one good season the question that arises is when it’s offset with our worst season in USF history and looked at with his cumulative record does it mean he was an amazing program builder or a flash in the pan?
  17. Sorry I don’t like to go around throwing away money like a drunken athletic director.
  18. He can afford to cut her a nice check to not assist out of his giant please don’t coach here anymore check. All of CWTs bowl trophies
  19. What do you call someone that loses considerably more than they win at many locations over a decade?
  20. CCS is a bad coach CWT is by every single measurable and definition a bad coach too. CCS costs his salary; CWT would cost CCS’ salary and CWTs salary there is pretty close to no worse solution out there as will be evidenced by the **** hole position CWT will end up in should he on anyone else chooses to have him coach in the next few years. You know who pays $7 million to buy out a coach in or to hire a coach for several million dollars that another team paid $18 million to not coach them anymore? A team destined for failure and bankruptcy. If USF wants my opinion on who to hire when we are finally fiscally able to do so they can pay me hundreds of thousands of dollars like they do every single time they make a horrible decision.
  21. That excuse apparently has a shelf life of just under 10 years. He took bad situations, made them worse and then left the first time he was even close to moderately successful. He is the kid that always takes his ball and goes home because if the game played out he loses every single time at every single place against every single form of competition. You are what your record says you are and sadly with years and years of data CWT’s says that he is a loser.
