    Curiosity got me. So how did you become a fan? Assuming "did not" means you didn't go to USF.

    I'm not sure we're as much notches below as our opponents this year are notches above? When we were all making our ussual preseason predictions, many of the various ranking systems had S. Carolina pretty far down, etc. It turns out they're a top 25 (or close to it) team, as is S Miss, Louisville and UAB. The fact that we're losing to them is not really a huge suprise. Army should've been a win, but they too are much better than even their own record shows. Bottom line, we got some more BCS recruiting to do.

    Spent 3 of the best years of my life in the Zeta Dorms from 1980-83 Then dropped out in my senior year because of a job opportunity and never looked back. My wife and I have had season tix since day one. Haven't missed a home game yet.

    I agree.  I've been almost embarrassed by the recent posts about getting rid of Leavitt.  He IS why we have a new 104k sq ft facility, why we are Big East bound, etc. We had our best recruiting class to date last year once the Big East announcement was made, and now that recruits can see a new facility, our talent will skyrocket.  We will be fine in two years.

    Well I appreciate everyone's efforts. I recall that the carnival usually went like Wednesday thru Friday (up til about 1or2 am before game night)  That way it was there for everyone who went to "movies on the lawn" Wednesday, it was there Thursday when the bonfire and fireworks (as I recall), it was there Friday before during and after the parade, then usually dismantled. While we're at it, what ever happened to the event of going to a parking lot (usually near the Alumni ctr) before the game to decorate our cars?  I also remember a bunch of us getting a police escort to the stadium?

    Thanks bullsmania, I saw the parade and tailgate thing listed somewhere else, I just didn't think those were the only 2 events? It doesn't seem like a big event this year?

    Huh?  I'm starting to really dislike coach's nonchalant attitude towards penalties.

    Yes but, I know of other teams who actually do make it a part of practice and disipline penalties during practice when hey happen. The fact that our coaches say they don't pay any mind to it during practice is disturbing at best? You play the way you practice. If you don't care about penalties, everyone's shirts being untucked, etc, during practice, it will carry over to game time. It's obvious this is the case.

    That is true, then again, TCU was #8 when they lost to South Missed last year, so anything can happen in a conference game.

    I think the big question/problem is why did Leavitt say on his radio show, that he doesn't do anything during practices to address penalties? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

    I just hope all these QB's don't say to themselves...."if he's commiting to USF, I'll go elsewhere" ........and we end up with none.

    I realize it's a longshot (considering our offense) but, we need South Missed to loose if we want a chance @ the conference title.

    Leavitt was asked during his radio show......"what he does to players who commit penalties during practice, ie; make them do pushups, etc?" He said he doesn't do anything to them and I think it shows.
