Year 1 was a bust. That leaves RMC 2 years to pull out of this funk. When that time comes, remember who was driving this bus. My point was that there may be a decent big man next year or the year after and we may not have a roster spot for him, depending on who we sign next year. I hope this kid from Purdue is good, however after seeing how their fans are talking about him above, I am very hesitant to call this kid a good selection.

Geez, another guy with only two years of eligibility left. On top of that, he isn't even a big man. 6-7, 205 lbs? Likes to jack it up from the 3? He is the second coming of 'Tron and the consensus on this board was everybody "couldn't wait for Tron to get out of here". This "afterthought" recruit eliminates a roster spot for a big man with 4 years of eligibility, something we truly needed. This coaching staff (RMC) continues to boggle my mind.

I wouldn't mind being on TV on a Tues. I don't think, however, that our home games would be that well attended if on a Tues.

Baseball underachieves every year without repurcussion. It seems there is no pressure for baseball to excel when in reality we should dominate CUSA. The Tampa Bay area has more HS baseball talent than any city in CUSA or BE. It also has better baseball talen than football talent, yet we seem to recruit the area better for FB and FB is very young.

Football is ready for the BE? Not until we get a legit D1 QB IMO. Basketball? Not gonna touch that one.

One more reason to despise the Bucs. They exploit USF at every opportunity then cut our alum. I can't stand them, never could. They'll finish 6-10 this year.

Seth was here for what?  Six years?  He had about 11 players on the team each year give or take one.  All in all he probably had around 35 different players in six years.  Your post says 50% of those players were on academic probation meaning about 17 players in 6 years.  I want the names of those 17 players S. Bien.  I also want the dates of the alleged drug tests that BB Waldon failed.  You are asking where I derive my facts? I want to know where you get yours. The original point of my post had nothing to do with our "administration".  I don't see where I ever said that.  My post is that people like you put on blinders when it comes to our football team yet bash Seth for not running a clean program.  I don't care how many players he has on his team, some of them get in trouble with the law/academically etc.  Your argument about the percentage of players to coaches is pointless, we are supposed to be recruiting upstanding citizens regardless of the sport.  Both programs have had numerous suspensions yet you bash Seth and laud Leavitt.  Stop being a hypocrite.  How many players did Seth actually suspend at one time or another.  He drove away the problem children like Kelvin Brown after disciplining/suspending him numerous times.  He suspended/ disciplined on numerous occassions the following: BB, Altron, Brittain, Will McD, Terrence Leather and probably several others that escape me.

Youre right S. Bien. It has nothing to do with the fact that our basketball program sucks and our football program is now the bread and butter of our athletic department, if not our university. What was I thinking...

Come on Sheriff.  I dislike the Gators as much as anyone, but how many people did we average at our Bball games last year during a horrible season?  As ardent of a fan as you are I know you saw it, and I know it hurts you to see it just as much as it hurts me.  We have some die hards, but the majority of our fans are fairweather as well, and only come out when we are winning.  I grew up in NY and this was not the case with our teams up there. people came out whether the Knicks won or lost. I believe that this phenomenon is a State of Florida thing.  People come down to FL and lose their loyalty and passion for many things.

We don't exactly have the squeakiest clean players either do we? Not trying to be an a-hole but our football players and coaches seem to get a pass on all the arrests/suspensions that seem to be a growing problem within our program. Meanwhile, everybody bashed Seth for his undisciplined players getting in trouble. People that live in glass houses....

I've been looking for authentic Bball jerseys for years, and not the garbage they sell at the bookstore.  I've even tried to buy one off of Will Mcdonald's dad (who incidentally said he would call me and never did), and also off of Brian Swift's girlfriend in the stands (maybe the fact that she was wearing it at the time had something to do with her not selling it to me?)  Anyhow, if we can partner up with Nke we should see our bball jerseys hanging up with all the gator, duke, north carolina jerseys in the sports stores.

We will not see any post-seasn play for the next 8 years. Post season meaning NIT or NCAA's.

..at the Sports Fan Attic. The manager there said we are switching to Nike as our uniform manufacturer. That should mean that we should see more diversified merchandise, i.e. basketball jerseys. Any truth to this?

It'll be nice and hot at 4pm!  Peak Panther roasting time.  I think the game start time gives us a huge advantage as all of our boys are from Fl and have practiced in the heat their entire lives. BTW, according to the above article, Pitt gets $460000 for agreeing to the change. What do we get?
