  1. Hey Pdiddy did you get the post. It said I was joking. I AM NOT GETTING RID OF MY SEASON TICKETS. From your reply I can't tell if you are calling me out or just making a general comment.
  2. Nice gift by the Patels and although I would like to see athletics receive a gift this large I have to agree that this serves as a greater beneift to the university. Obviously the Patels have some extremely DEEP pockets. If they could throw athletics a cool mil or so that would be awesome.
  3. Man I guess I shouldn't have posted the joke topic. If you are really going to drop your tickets becuase of this than you aren't a true fan of the Bulls. If your a real fan u stick with your team through thick and thin. Take in point the USC Gamecocks. Their team hasn't won basically anything significant, yet their stadium is always full. These are the type of fans that USF needs to have. Even if we don't win a game next year I will still renew my tickets. Some of you guys remind me of some of the kids I played with on sports teams growing up. If the team was down they flat out simply gave up. I guess its a lack of heart, but for those of us who did care we reemed those others in the locker room.
  4. Just joking. Give the guy a chance before we rip him a new one. As far as not developing QBs lets just say banks and julmiste weren't going to be good no matter who their coach was. So lets wait and see how the O plays this year with hopefully either Denson, Hill, or Grothe running the show.
  5. You hit the nail on the head with the word of mouth. Most of the people that I have brought out to the games have had a blast, even when we have lost. Why? because it was an event instead of a game. THe tailgate party was fun and then the party coninued on inside the game. Wearing the gear or having a license plate is even better. In the last couple of years I have seen a large increase in the amount of hats ,shirts worn by people. THe other day when I returned to my hometown of Brooksville I saw 3 or 4 cars on my way in with Bulls plates on. That was actually more than any other team in the state. Remember, Bville is a small place and is heavily UF + FSU fan populated. Unfortunately most people are followers. As more people see people in USF gear more people will wear it. It really is that simple. I got my parents and one of my brothers to buy season tickets with me next year. The Bull Nation will grow, but just give it time. The UFs and FSUs of the world didn't fill 80k+ stadiums overnight. They've been at it a long time and do it in towns that offer no sports entertainment competition.
  6. I disagree about having the branch campuses. If we are trying to become a more residential campus than the branch campuses are not what we need. The branch campuses are made up entirely of commuters and have nothing in common with the main campus in Tampa other than the name. Placing sports teams at another location complicates degree choices for the athlete and minimizes their educational experience. If the athlete is based at say USF-Sarasota and wants to major in a degree not offered there they would either have to commute to the Tampa campus for classes, use some type of technology for classes (internet or tv), or change their major. All of those choices stink.
  7. UM is bending us over with a ticket price like that. If this is true then we should sell the our tickets to them at the same rate if the actually come to RayJay.
  8. Dismissed UF forward Mosby going to Baylor By GREG AUMAN, Times Staff Writer Published May 8, 2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brooksville's Bernice Mosby, a three-year starter at Florida who was dismissed in March, will transfer to women's national basketball champion Baylor. "It's a great opportunity for me," said Mosby, a 6-foot forward who will sit out the 2005-06 season and have one season at the school in Waco, Texas. "The program has everything I want to accomplish in my last year in college basketball." Mosby, who led the Gators in scoring (15.5 points) and rebounds (8.6) as a junior, visited Virginia Tech last month and strongly considered South Florida. The Hernando High graduate said she was drawn to Baylor by the allure of playing for a championship program, but didn't make her decision until a campus visit last week. "It's not a knock on the other programs," Mosby said. "USF has a great program and coach (Jose) Fernandez has always stuck by me. But at this point, I just felt it was the best opportunity, after meeting with the coaches and players this week. And I love all the fan support they have. They treat the girls there like queens." Mosby has finished the spring semester at Florida and is scheduled to begin summer classes at Baylor on May 31. After playing primarily power forward at Florida, she said she'll see time at small forward at Baylor.
  9. I finally made it to the finish line. Congrats to my fellow Bulls who also graduated today. I'll be having plenty of beer and hopefully some coeds to put the cherry on top of my undergraduate career.
  10. I say we hunt these internet terrorists down from the computers they're hiding behind.
  11. Going to 12 teams would be a bad move for the BE. Its a bad move because these teams will be quantity, but not quality. Didn't mean to quote coach Bower. The BE should try to add one or possibly two more teams. Memphis would be the best possible addition and possibly EZU. Tulane almost dropped their football program recently so that eliminates them. UCF could be a possibility with improvement. UAB is a tough sell in a state resistant to change like Alabama.
  12. I support the Rays. Their problem is the owners are tight wads and they play in a game where drafting and talent evaluation play no role. The Yanks, RedSox, Braves etc will buy the players in the end anyways.
  13. Hey Chris thanks for pointing that out. I was not at the party but thats what I figured happened. Every time I throw a party someone always complains about noise. We always invite our neighbors and tell them when the party is going to be, but it never fails some ***** calls the cops. Then someone gets in trouble for some stupid sh!t like arguing with the cops. 1. If you have a problem with the party going on next door be a man or woman and go next door and tell them to quiet down or join in the fun. Chances are that they will be cool with you, but if they are pricks then get revenge don't call the cops. Buy an airhorn and wake them up bright and early sometime in the future. 2. If the cops do show, cooperate to the fullest. Remember the police are always correct and are never wrong. Don't open the door until the owner is present and everyone under 21 has gotten rid of their drink. Secondly, acting loud when you talk to them will get you a free ride and a pair of matching silver bracelets.
  14. quote author=BullDoug link=board=news;num=1114791849;start=0#16 date=04/29/05 at 17:01:56] Anyone determined to put 8-10 lbs muscle mass and another 5-8 lbs body fat in 6-8 mos. can do it by dedication to the weightroom, training table and legal supplements.  IMO, its easier for a basketball pplayer than a FB player because a FB player usually has been a more serious lifter in HS than BB players.  Staying away from weed is important too to gaining weight as BB players have this rep IMO.
  15. Look for us to try and snag a 1AA home game in 2006. The coaching staff knows we will be real good that year and will want to capitalize on that season. Think of all the young guys that we have playing. Guess what, they will all still be here in 06.
  16. That sign is about Manchester United Football Club in England. The Gla$ers are trying to purchase the team. The fans don't want him to and I couldnt blame them being a bucs fan.
  17. Dennis is a very good defender already and will only get better with age. I like his grit and determination on the defensive end a lot. He has a decent offensive game to go along with the D. Don't count on Solomon gaining 15-20 lbs unless he hooks up with Balco. He has the same type frame as Morris and won't be able to put on much mass no matter how hard he works out. However, I think he is a decnet player that can definitely improve this offseason.
  18. He's trying to say that Keifer will be shown the door. Bullscoming123 are you a former player? I've heard from a player that coach keifer is a *****. However, the man can recruit.
  19. ET  that kid is a stud.  He runs like a deer.
  20. Hall's only knock will be his 40 time. You know how much the league puts emphasis on workouts. Hall runs around a 4.6. This alone will cause him to be a mid round pick. Despite the fact he has excellent vision, cutting, and great work ethic and attitude.
  21. Yeah I've seen and talked to Johhnie a few times lately. He is looking as big as ever and said he's feeling great. Watch out for Buie also come fall. He trained hard with the boys during offseason conditioning. He's another guy benching over 400 from a coach on the staff. Tim Jones will be at DT. He is one big guy and a hell of an athlete. Im glad to hear Josh Julmiste is looking good out there. Can't wait to see the boys go at it on Sat night.
