  1. im willing to see what he can do before making my decsion,. The fact is that he was the only one that was an ACTIVE AD,Hollis and Oliver sounded good but they are both asst AD's. Sure they are in a BCS conference but Woolard has already done that part at Washington ST. Obviously we went with more experience in leading us thru this change. By the way i hear he is pretty close with the ND AD. Not that it means anything but a trip to ND would be awesome.
  2. i LOVE 4pm games, let me tell you thats the BIG home advantage UM has used for years,ALL their home games unless televised are at 4 PM and you should see those visiting teams come the fourth quarter, they are DONE. Also beer and soft drink sells will be BIG. Go Bulls!!!!
  3. Very interested on how is going with you guys in Orlando, have spoken to Ted about restarting the Miami chapter. So hopefully ill get some ideas from you on what worked and what didnt.
  4. ;D Howie you beat me to it. Great win for the Bulls over #13 Tulane on the road. I had almost given up on the Bulls this year.
  5. He actually interview two candidates. Its posted on Bullseye.
  6. I think is great that we now have THREE ESPN games for this year,it will help us a lot in getting the national recognition we need as we move to the BE. Now we need to take advantage and win them.
  7. i know it aggravates some people but i do think that they have given PLENTY of time to be able to help people schedule their trip.
  8. not sure on wether he knows how to use a telephone but i hear he is very good at writing and turning in ACCURATE resumes.
  9. very dissapointed in Bulls baseball down the stretch, losing 2 of 3 to Charlotte at home is horrible
  10. i realize that for those of us from out of town is an inconvinience but i have no problem with a schedule with dates and times with a warning that dates and times are subject to change for tv reasons. Most teams do this now a days,UM has it on the bottom of all their schedules and thery have changed game dates in a week's time. If we want to bring the top kids they want to play on TV and if we want to become more nationally known we have to play on TV. As fans we have to understand that we do not have the clout to tell TV only on saturdays,we would lose big money and exposure.
  11. SunDome is over 20 years old.it needs major renovations to seats and scoreboards at the very least. Hopefully whoever comes in as AD starts a major push for facility upgrades before we head into BE. While i dont expect them done by 05. i do expect to see a master plan with timetables for the upgrades
  12. Mike, i noticed samething and wasnt crazy about it. True we do not know the context of the question but i would have much rather have read, how he plans to raise budget and improve facilities. To me the line that the foundation and LRS are already in place to fundraise was kind of lame. We need NEW ideas and i dint get any from him in that report. I say we pass on him.
  13. actualy Howie, they do have Searcy as back up to LRS Jr on the two deep line up on the side.
  14. Bull83 that wasnt my point. The point was that Danny's time wasnt that great for a 100 meter
  15. Here is a copy of the top 5 sprinters in Dade County, notice their times. Also notice the time of the top High school sprinter in Florida this year. • 100 meters: 1. Terry Jones, Carol City, 10.69; 2. Bobby Washington, Killian, 10.74; 3. McKasey Hughes, 10.78; 4. Jonathan Pyfrom, Carol City, 10.80; 5. Rony Pimentel, Ransom Everglades, 10.81. State's best: Walter Dix, Coral Springs, 10.28.
  16. Yeah but that was a BIG gap between Carter and him. a half second behind in a 100 yd or meter is BIG.
  17. imagine ALL those UM alumni ticket holders from out of town that now have the BIGGEST HOME game of the year on a MONDAY NIGHT. But they seem to have taken in stride.
  18. Sorry but im not all that surprised. I expected maybe some AD's at nonBCS schools to apply but i NEVER expected someone that was an AD in a BCS conference to apply. As long as whoever comes in comes with knowledge of a BCS program and with ideas and energy to take our program to the next level. I have no problem
  19. It is VERY important as we move to a BCS conference, that USF becomes a better known team around the nation. THe main way to do it is by playing on TV and winning. If we do not play on TV it will hurt us and our conference. The BE winner and representative to that BCS Bowl MUST be known nationally. If we do not take advantage of these tv apperances it will come back ti haunt us when we are the BE champ and most of the nation does not know us (it will hurt that bowls tv rating and it will comeback to hurt BE n USF)
  20. Thats surprising i havent heard any rumors about another bowl downhere? Could it be someone in St Pete and they screwed up on the location?
  21. smazza, read the BOTTOM PART of the schedule, it says DATES and times subject to change.
