    For the sake of argument I'll concede Strong, but the rest has been a disaster under his tenure.

    IMO Kelly's tenure here has been a disaster - he let Strong burn the program to the ground, failed to swiftly address the racism issues in the basketball program (Herrion wasn't fired - the investigation lasted just right up until his contract expired and then in a gutless move just didn't renew him), watched as UCF left us behind for the Big 12, then he extends the Gregory all in the name of stability.

    That's where are at - we have to take agressive chances at times in the hopes of it paying off big. Retreads have a known ceiling. Sometimes that means getting it wrong, but I think irs too early to write the obituary just yet. I expect 4 wins this season, and will hope for more.

    I am just saying I think CJS needs more time to grow into the role and rebuild the program. Are there other coaches out there that could turn it around quicker? Probably, but none of them are going to come to USF.

    This is likely is a 4-8 team. I can see wins against Howard, ECU and at Temple. If the staff can over archive a little bit they should be able to steal a 4th win somewhere in the conference.

    Put that on the guy who hired him, not the guy who was hired if you think CJS isn't ready for the gig. Considering how Kelly has previously mismanaged the leadership decisions of the football and men's basketball programs, its possible he got this one wrong again...but I willing to be patient here.

    That's not what has happened. Asking a first time coach to rebuild an imploded program at a level he hasnt been at with limited resources, isn't veering straight into the iceberg.
