Pretty good read. I am starting to think that one of two things is happening with the offense, along side the talent deficit:

    1. Jeff Scott isn’t trusting enough, and has a hand in playcalling, or

    2. Weis isn’t ready for this much responsibility

At least with the defense we can say the d-line is undersized so we can’t stop the run. Then that opens up problems with pass coverage, and with the offense not keeping the D off the field or capitalizing on scoring opportunities, everything just snowballs from there.

Quit saying year 0, like that means anything.  This is year one.  He will get 3 years to show major progress or he will be fired, or his contract not renewed.  That means he has 2 years left, so I hope he scouring the portal day and night.

As far as witnessing Clemson, who cares.  What specifically did he have to do with their success.  At a place like Clemson, players recruit themselves.  Players want to come play in an 80K stadium with packed fans.  What is the sell here?  Please enlighten.

It’s essentially a year 0. He had a shortened recruiting period for this team. He was left no talent. He had no spring offseason for the most part. No one loses eligibility. This season doesn’t count.

Hence a zero year, or year 0.

If I remember correctly,  we had five losses by less than one score in 2012. I remember thinking that our defense just could not get a stop under 2 mins. could have changed his perception here a little bit. Cosh's defense was rough.

Bend, but don’t break, defense. That phrase has been stuck in my head since the Holtz days
