    This thread is epic!!! LOL

CJS gets a pass this year, but the hounds will be howling next year. USE the portal to find some players and there are many holes to fill.  Must find a QB and some OL and some dogs on Defense. I would go for P5 guys that are big and chips on their shoulders.

There is some good sized players on 247 portal list. I focused on only Florida native players when I looked. I feel like those guys would be easier to bring home

  2. Who here thinks we should try and snag FSU Safety transfer Cyrus Fanagan?

Also, I went through the list of uncommitted  transfers on 247, and found a bevy of players whose parents live in Fla. if we snag some of those guys, we could fill immediate holes on O-line, and overall D. I didn’t bother with QB, RB, or WR spots. I think we have enough talent to build up there. I was looking for something more to allow better blocking or more pressure from D-line.

Pass. He’s had four years to prove something and all he’s done is struggle. He needs to go join Francois at Howard or some school that needs a “game manager.”

He is from South Bay, Fl. I think FAU, FIU maybe. Just get closer to family and have a better chance to start. He knows Taggart as well.

We lost 7 players to the transfer portal, we have room to add some incoming transfers

Who all have we lost so far? Nick Roberts, McDoom, and I lose track after that.

It is a tad more difficult to get into Army (at least I have heard that).

Army does not have the NFL waiver rule like Navy so even if someone is great they still have to serve the 4 years.

I have also heard Army cannot recruit larger players...yet somehow Navy does.

Ok, it makes more sense now. I figured same recruiting rules applied to all service schools.

We play in the AAC, no excuse to be 17 point dog every week. That's a reflection of the coaching this year. Our coaches have not prepared players to the same level as all the other AAC teams...Don't need elite talent to beat Temple and ECU. Being in the AAC will always mean we need coaches that can do more with less. We might get a Marlon Mack or D Johnson level player once in a while but can't just recruit our way out of losing unless 8-5 is the goal every year.

When you are completely devoid of talent and had to rely on Juco and Fcs kids to fill gaps, you will definitely lose more than you win. When the school itself values academics before any sport, you will lose more than you win. When your fan base is small and your alumni could give a **** about your program you will lose more than you win. Our team is undersized, underfunded, and has no culture or traditions other than “remember that time we were number 2”.

Look at Tulane, UCF, UConn, ECU. All those teams had really **** seasons at one point. Someone has to win and someone has to lose, it’s our turn to be losers. We just need to find a way to win.

Anybody who talks about Leavitt being outcoached just has no perspective of how fast he made this team good. There are no other examples of new programs in major conferences doing what USF did. Again, no perspective. It takes time, but fans dont understand patience.

Well, he had two things instantly going for him.

    1. Location

    2. Automatic Bid for the BCS bowl games because of the conference

Then this thread shall be listing a lot of names my friend lol

Why not add the coaches as well. Let's roll with it.  I don't see the OC, RB or DC getting fired though.

I was joking about the coaches. In all seriousness, I think a lot of players are going to transfer out after this season. McDoom was the only domino that has fallen so far, but the QB room will look a lot different for sure.
