  1. AAC: 6 MWC: 9 Some of these were week 0 losses. (Week 0 is dumb, just my opinion).
  2. I mean, yea, you can question the stadium if you want. Here’s the thing though, people can’t say “we need to invest in the program to show we can commit to funding our sports program” and also say “omg, the stadium is such a waste of money. Why are they doing that”. The stadium is mainly for the students, they are trying to build tradition and culture and excitement for the students. We have no tradition at all, and that is something that creates a good, fun atmosphere where people want to be. I am excited for the stadium. I am excited that the students will get to finally have a stadium.
  3. My goodness, the toxic attitudes on this board after that WKU loss. I hope some of those responses are “hot takes” and overreactions. Saying the stadium isn’t worth it, that the money is being wasted? Saying the coach needs to be fired after one game? Keep in mind we have been bad the last 4 seasons, we have new schemes/coaches/players AND a bunch of talent transferred out. The reactions on this board are unreal.
  4. We have talked to them in the past. I bet we aren’t their first option either.
  5. I mean, the conference only has so much value to offer, and the remaining schools left only have so much value for their product. I bet he went after those PAC schools and I bet that we were the 4th or 5th best option. PAC Schools probably wanted this: 1. B1G (wishful thinking) 2. B12 3. ACC 4. Reform PAC 5. MWC 6. AAC On top of what they wanted. Aresco said it was all four or none from the PAC. I think that was smart. OSU and WSU aren’t the money makers that were left in the PAC. So, why put everyone else through the pains of spending their athletics budget on travel for Olympic sports? MWC teams can’t leave until they can afford their buyouts. So who should we go after, MAC/CUSA/Sunbelt teams? We are going for Army as a rival for Navy, they have a hood fan base, and who doesn’t love the Armed Forces matchups? They are fun to watch. It sucks that the AAC is in this boat, but it’s the only available boat. So it’s either this or drown.
  6. Idk, maybe we are funny enough to pull a 10. I mean, our athletics are a joke.
  7. Yea, there is going to be more chaos with the ACC. Imagine the joy of going the ACC only to later have it be completely gutted to G5 status
  8. That is hella aggressive to auto renew after our three worst seasons, before we play a single down with our entirely brand new roster and coaches, and while we get shafted again in realignment.
  9. What we need more than ever, as a university, as an athletics department, and as a fan base; is tweets that wildly speculate, with no regard to logic, what the next realignment dominoes to fall.
  10. Man, woke up this morning, got into work, and just logging in here on my lunch. What a busy day on these boards! Looks like SMU is leaving and getting paid in exposure? USF is still in the AAC (along with Memphis/Tulane). The PAC is officially dead?
  11. Too big to fail, or something like that. I haven’t had cable since I moved out of my family’s house almost 20 years ago. Is ESPN still THE sports broadcasting channel? I used to wake up on saturdays and watch college game day then watch college football alllllll day. Now, I just find the stream that Carries USF. There is no reason for me to watch anything else because ISF isn’t mentioned for anything else besides their mediocrity.
  12. If we get three wins, let’s go ahead and erect a statue of CAG punching CJS in the face.
  13. Maybe we said please don’t attach our name to this conference anymore.
  14. I think the remaining teams are still trying to jump ship to whatever other P conference will take them, then if all else fails they go to finding a new Conference head.
  15. I wonder if we get pulled into that scenario or if Aresco gives us the finger? @flsportsfan83 took the ice plunge challenge on that on.
  16. I am most definitely having all of the emotions. Only time will tell. Another fun scenario that I have not heard mentioned, Kliavkoff gets fired and Aresco is hired to add teams to the PAC and backfill.
  17. Man, this thread went from fun speculation and wonder to doom/dread/sadness.
  18. When do we get these items? I know it was mentioned that they wouldn’t be handed out at games this year.
  19. Hopefully he helps the opposing team take a visit to pancake city!
  20. Stanford and Cal, why not? I still think OSU and WAU end up G5. Also, I believe B12 want to go east to get some travel partners for UCF. Pitt, UConn, USF would be fun adds off the top of my dome.
