    We will beat other AAC schools. This school is not ready for a move up. Charlie has mailed it in and we just don't have enough depth. Line sucks and so do the receivers.

    Dark Horse impact player: Offense- Trevor Sands Defense- Smoke Davis I feel a different vibe from CCS. The Bulls by 12!!! Taylor only gets 123 on the ground.

    Strong also tipped off what may be the reason Davis is starting at FS. He said "We have to put some people on the field who can run him down." However, that was coach speak. What he wanted to say is.... If Davis can get a clean shot on him coming up the middle...we are going to put his head on a swivel and toes on egg cartons.

    We are not going to stop him...just have to contain him. Make big stops on 3rd down to get the D off the field.

    If I am Strong, I put the O on the field first and let Kerwin try to get us ahead and make them play from behind. Three successful drives in a row could make them change their game plan. However, Chuck is going to put the D on the field first because he wants to see just how good Macon is. I'm pretty sure we are going to load the box and put the corners on an Island. I am ok with the personnel we have on D, but I think our real game plan is to light up the scoreboard and just contain Taylor.

    I'm positive he couldn't start at Vandy. To slow for ACC and Big 12 pass HAPPY O's. Sanchez was slow but solid. Sawtelle is slow and not good in space. Very unreliable!!!!

    If you are saying that Sawtelle has the talent to play at a P5, name a school where this guy could start? We had the worst D in the country so using games he played in at the beginning of the season as a metric is absurd. You have to think that Macon saw better competition at practice than we mostly saw on our game schedule. Macon was not brought here because Nico was the man of year. He was brought here to play MLB, period! We had a dang safety playing lb..wth? Sanchez was a player and could hold down the middle. Sawtelle was not even close to that kind of caliber.

    That's because they were young and inexperienced. Now that they have more experience under their belt and added strength, they are ready to perform. Another way to look at it is that this program was devoid of talent so Sawtelle got to play. Sawtelle could not start from any P5 program and probably wouldn't get much run on special teams. Again, do you want a championship or give participation trophies? If you want this program to elevate its status then we must put P5 type players on the roster. Now that we can contact P5 players via the portal, the dynamics have changed.

    No... I just personally think some fans over value his abilities and worth. I don't wish injury on anyone, to be clear. If you want a championship team, we definitely needed to upgrade that position.

    So if Sawtelle graduated last year who would the D rely on for leadership? Sawtelle was no Sanchez and he was going to get limited snaps due to the addition of Macon.

    Actually Boyles or Grier either one could slide to the middle if Macon gets hurt. Sawtelle's loss is that big of a deal.
