Didn't we finish 7-6? We had a winning season and a bowl win. They had a losing season and didn't get an invite to go bowling. The separation between the two programs is still there , and Golesh has some work to do make Usf relevant again.

They beat our butts and it better be a win next year. Traditionally they have been worse and they have a worse overall record and win percentage. We have more bowl wins. We have been ranked 47 different weeks to Fau's zero in the ap polls. We have put more players in the pros. So I would say our football program is better, but we need to create more separation by winning. Fau 105-137 USF 148-141 WE WERE also the fastest fbs program to ever win 100 games. Sadly Scott set usf way back and Golesh was a 600% fbs win improvement in year one. We went bowling last year and they didn't. I expect Golesh will have the boys ready to beat then to a pulp like Syracuse for another beat down in Boca.

Just pointing out there is no clear pattern to ad mk firing losing coaches and coaches trending down for multiple years. If we use Charlie's firing as the precedent then Mohl should have been fired after two years of regression and one losing season. If we use one fbs/conference win in two seasons as the standard than Mohl gets a lifetime extension. If we use Gregory's firing than two or more seasons of losing records in a row and losing record in a conference should get you fired. I just don't see why we keep employing a coach around that has had two straight years of trending down and it isn't looking like his improvement this year is good enough to save his job. We lost two in a row on games with gave away with bad pitching. Mohl was a good college pitcher and that should be his specialty . We need to move on. Nice guy but below average coach that loses more games than he wins over time. If winning is the standard of usf athletics, then we should have moved on after last season. As Brad said this isn't the same old South Florida because winning is the standard If we want to move up to a better conference ever .

Charlie had two years of trending down and one losing season in 3 years and no extension. Scott had three terrible years and rewarded with an extension after one fbs i win two years. Mohl has two winning seasons out of 6 and was extended. He wasn't fired after two seasons trending down or back to back losing seasons. There isn't really a clear pattern under Ad Mk for firing coaches. The conclusion is extensions for all didn't work or motivate the coaches to win more games.

The extension prolonged the suck and gave Mohl extra years and money he hasn't earned. WE are in year 7 of his career at USF, , we are still sub 0.500 overall , we are still sub 0.500 in conference play overall, and we are on a three game LOSING streak. Everyone other than one Mohl fan boy knows he should not have been here this year. Conference Record 57-75-1 Overall record 164-171-1 We have one winning season in conference play, two 0.500 seasons , and four losing seasons under Billy Mohl in conference play. At some point you are what you record says you are.

If they had the numbers why would fsu and Clemson be crying to the media for months? The lawyers and leaders of the universities would have had a vote and go trying to find a new home. If the acc had the numbers why did they sign the new cfb contract with one million more per year going to acc teams over b12 teams?
