No offense but we were not going to win anyway. Its about building experience now for younger players. This could be a good thing for some of them. Our starters are 1-6 lol

I guess I expected more in terms of our own talent. Didn’t realize it was as bad. We are fast but undersized and there are plenty of teams like this who look better than we do on offense. I guess im always every year shocked at the lack of offensive creativity and why we dont have people open like everyone we play....is that jeff scotts fault? Yes and no because he is supposed to be an offensive coordinator head coach. We have a young so called guru at OC. Seems like more coaches around country do more with less than we do against so called equal competition. We just don’t know yet if its his coaching or overall lack of talent. Let’s see where we go.

I guess what i mean is. We won some important games but the most important games were always vs rutgers, cincinatti where we were always outcoached and could not win our conference. Cjl was a great coach dont get me wrong but we all know he couldnt turn the corner and get us there. Unfortunately for us noone after him was able to do it either

I dont think we win another game this year. I felt navy was a win but they will abuse us and run out clock. The question is can we win 3-4 games next year. That should be our realistic goal.

It’s true. Leavitt won enough games to build us to a mid level tough team. He couldnt win big games and we were outcoached vs the same 3-4 teams every year. Taggart got us the best two players in usf history and flowers and mack took and a good offensive line took us to a new level. We are medicore and always have been. It will take years to get to a positive with our players. They flat out cannot compete vs the top teams in our conference yet let alone rest of country. Glad to see he understands the severity and is letting fans know the truth.

Thats been usf football for as long as i have known them minus flowers era. When we could actually pass it all over the field and score in a matter of seconds...how far away that feels now.

I’m not saying another qb/coach and a air raid attack couldnt take this team and produce more excitement and have us scoring 40 a game and losing. Hell I’d like to see that over this. But we don’t have the talent and its obvious. It’s not enough to say we live in florida...We don’t need the best players on the planet but we do need talent and we do not have it right now minus the rb’s. i’m reserving to judge the coaches just yet but it’s getting close to calling out the play calling and scheme because it’s miserable. our goals should be very simple even though it wont be simple but recruit offensive linemen and defensive linemen until we have the skill and size up front to win with ****** players! We can get enough scraps and succeed at the skill positions offensively. Bottom line were getting manhandled and what skill or speed we do have is irrelevent.

They need to start making their mark as coaches. Get him off the team and take control. If you don’t want to be here get out.

We will be 1-9 this year. We have the worst skillset in the conference. It is terrible to admit but we do not belong in this conference at the moment. We have to really recruit our butt off for next 3-4 years to see a difference down the road. I thought we would turn the page and get back to 4-8,5-7 next year but we dont have any size/strength on either front to compete with anyone.

fortin reminded us of a grothe type running approach. That kind of evasiveness is what we need because mccloud just gets sacked...What is more alarming for any qb is the lack of play creativity. Its either a roll out pass or a quick hitter. We have no chance of hitting deep down middle and forget about a wide open receiver. No matter who we roll out there they have no chance. Mccloud is terrible, fortin and noah give us best option because lets face it...we are running team and if it aint working we are screwed...our defense is pathetic. Were undersized and under skilled at every position besides RB where we have some real talent.

I don’t even look forward to Our game coming anymore. You cannot make a rational case that mccloud would start at any other team in our conference. I have given up caring about it right now because im over the frustration of thinking we can be better and magically play like the usf i know. Re watching grothe, q, and mack dominate. I won’t blame jeff scott until he gets his people and has time. So jeff you have this season 1-9 (we will lose to navy) and next season (4-8) to point us in right direction. Year 3 we have to see a huge improvement. 6-6 is not an acceptable season. We need to be 8-4,9-3,10-2 in year 3 to be acceptable in my opinion but im giving him a shot. I just can’t put any emotion in to the games and get beat up anymore.
