Glad to know I think he has the potential to be our future Qb1.
There are people on the staff that think he’s our future. He looked very poised for an 18 year old and that TD pass was flawless.

According to his dad, he’s not going anywhere. They love USF. The amount of joy his dad showed today when his son got his first collegiate TD was beautiful.

There are some that you may be able to point to as a bad pattern in the weight room, but I don’t see how Marsh getting whiplash today has anything to do with it. That was just an unfortunate incident.

Seems more like a crude observation. That could just be taken out of context. I haven't heard of any former players or coaches come out and say Gruden ever said anything racist. Gruden has already paid a steep price. Everyone deserves a second chance.
I do agree, on all points you made. The only thing I'm pointing to is that it's going to cause some sort of a headache when it can be avoided. There are still other candidates that would fit just fine at USF without baggage at all.

Again, this is not a racist remark. Do some research instead of dragging the man's character through the mud. I very much oppose him as the choice for headcoach...there are many other factually accurate reasons why. Please stop feeding this misinformation.
Also, not really sure why I need to go deep into trying to analyze a white man saying a black man has lips the size of michellin tires. It's a terrible comment and more than unnecessary.

Have you heard the music many of these kids listen to? Very offensive . . . to some.
Some of it is indeed very offensive but that's not really comparable to this situation.

Gruden was spewing insults . . . socially unacceptable? Yes . . .
The other statements I saw are crass and again, socially unacceptable.
I find some language unacceptable, but it's spoken every day by people on the street and on regular TV.
And these are personal conversations, right?
He's a longshot, but I would welcome him.
Go BULLS !!!
This is a reasonable take. But it's not as easy as telling a parent of a recruit "well, it's just some of the same language you hear every day." Whether some on here agree or not, it would be a PR nightmare.

"instead of dragging the man's character through the mud."
my dude, what? Take away that one remark I was talking about. So you can excuse the other things? You're going to have parents that don't want their kids playing for him because of this. It's really not any more complex than that, and if you can't see it I'm not really sure how else to tell you. We can make a better, less controversial hire. I'm not even sure why it's a debate.

What were the racist remarks exactly? I searched online and he referred to an official's lips being extremely large, but that is all I found.
The lips quote is what I’m referring to. While it might not seem like a big deal to some, it’s completely unnecessary along with his other comments that were misogynistic and homophobic.

Wins forgive sins
Wins don't forgive racist remarks. He also would have to spend several months trying to explain that to parents before he plays his first game.

The fact the 2nd place vote doesn't care about off field issues speaks volumes about lack of awareness with the college football climate. "Come play for me but ignore the things I said in the past about black people." Yeah, I'm sure that would work out so well.

BRING BACK TAGGART! That gulf coast offense on the hardwood floor would be lethal.

Honestly.... Our HC could save see face by firing the DC on Monday
That’s not enough in my opinion. At this point Scott has a total of 4 wins in his career at USF, and last season had to fire his DC before the season was over. If he does that again, it further proves that he’s in over his head. If you keep putting people in place that can’t do their jobs, then that shows a big lack of awareness.

Exactly! Another game within the game. Our QB play & offense has not been too bad lately. Our defense sucks. Play calling sucks
I’m sold on Trickett. He’s been pretty good for us and he’s been the first coordinator that Marsh has improved under. Marsh played a better game than McClain ever did for us. Of course there were some hiccups but it’s his first start of the season. If he plays like that every game from here on out we have a chance.

I actually really liked what I saw from Marsh today. It’s very clear, yet again, that defense and coaching was the problem. There were a few very questionable offensive calls, but defense is what took us out of the game.

Byrum needs significant reps if Marsh isn't doing well. We need to have the best guy on the field AND give the younger guy significant reps. We need to do our best to make a 6 Win Season/possible Bowl birth.
Byrum needs PT during Houston, Temple, SMU, Tulsa or UCF. If we lose any of those 4 games. He doesn't need top play a fifth.
Give Gunner reps against one of the games if we do not win before UCF.
Best player needs to play in the final regular season game.
Go BULLS !!!
It's a 1 win season right now. The season is essentially a wash, so I'll lose my mind if Brown plays any more than 4 games and has his redshirt burned. That would be a QF situation all over. You let Marsh go out there the entire game this Saturday. If he doesn't do well, you play Brown as much as possible the final 4 games.

Is there a press conference in the off week? I’m not sure if we’ll get any news until next Tuesday.

Agree. It's almost like some would rather see USF keep losing so they can declare victory over being right about something. It's sad just like our record.
We will have several that say “this should have been done sooner” and puff their chest. That’s fine. Like most of us, I just want to win.

Also agree but it is a little understandable considering this is unequivocally the worst stretch in USF football but ****, some of the attacks on CJS/staff/players at times are borderline psychotic ..... get a ******* life.
And the crap with Timmy's dad is total ******** but not really unexpected in these days and times. The Kanigits don't have a total monopoly on Internet ****headedness ...
Oh 100%. People do need to see that we’re pissed off and not content with the poor play. But like you said, it’s the extent.

I see a couple members running around the board calling Marsh horrible or horribly prepared. That actually conflicts with what other players have said about Marsh. But I guess we should be asking their mommies and daddies according to another member. Marsh was no Bohannon, and he did look like he hadn’t played much of course but he wasn’t horrible by any stretch. He actually had a higher quarterback rating than the Tulane quarterback. But that’s probably not a good measure. Right?
I don't know if things are worse or if I'm just getting older and over it, but the complaining seems like it's been amplified this season. I'm exhausted from it and it's been making me limit my interactions a lot more. Everyone always seems to have the answer. I'm not excusing our record over the past three seasons and there's nothing wrong with criticism, but the extent to which it has gotten just flat out looks bad. You can't go on a USF post without someone calling for a job or a player being called out. Yesterday I got on Twitter and one of the first things I saw was our fans interacting negatively with McClain's dad. That's pathetic. He's gone and we don't have to worry about playing him. Let's move on.

GB is fine. He sat on the bench and built chemistry/played with that team for years. Sure, we overhyped him but that is what we do as fans.
Well put. There are still plenty of players that sit and end up being pretty bad, though. Agreed though, we definitely overhyped him.

The pattern is there 1-23 and 0-5 this year. We are losing and getting blown out by bad Teams (ecu/Louisville) . If anything UF and Cinncinatti were the outliers under Cjs. All we have is hope that the team is extra motivated tomorrow because the ipf and maybe jetf Scott and his staff can put together their best game plan to get a win. When hope is your best strategy in year 3 there is a problem. I want usf to win but under Scott I do not expect it. The ipf is huge because no other players before had it. Hopefully we can use it to recruit better and enhance our talent more effectively for this coach or the next coach .
Why are you going off into all that? Again, not defending our record, not defending our losses that we've had. Quite literally the only thing I'm saying is that the locker room is not lost and the players still haven't given up. I think the most recent game proved that. That's it. Nothing more.
