someone needs to take this man’s Twitter away
I love it. It's nice to see the energy for a really important position.

Seeing that Da Prato is out on the recruiting trail, does that mean he got retained?
-
Just shared a tweet that was from the wrong USF. Oops!

Well, Golesh had very high praise for him so I guess let's see how it plays out...he was responsible for recruiting Ed Oliver but his defense at FAU wasn't stellar.

i like leavitt as a dc.
i think it is a good time to panic now
Leavitt was offered the DC job last year and turned it down.

Of the retread options, Tom Herman was my top choice.
Same. I'd be good with Diaz now if nothing else pans out.

Chad Morris would be a better hire.... A FCS coach does nothing to excite me... 21 kids who couldn't get P6 offers
The coach who won zero conference games in two seasons the last time he was a head coach?
"An FCS coach does nothing to excite me" ... Perfect! Then let's hire Chadwell, who is currently a head coach at an FBS school

I hope to **** this is a rumor
So who else would you recommend?
Our last two hires were someone that failed miserably as a head coach prior to USF and then a coordinator from a national championship program, and you can see how both of those worked out. Chadwell is a current head coach who will be playing in his 2nd conference title game in 3 years with an overall record of 39-21 at Coastal. He also has 21 kids on his roster from the state of Florida.

His name is not showing up in the Cincy media reports, for what it's worth.

He has very few ties, if any, to the midwest and hasn't recruited the area at all really. Pretty sure he isn't a candidate there at all. 21 players on Coastal's roster are from the state of Florida. He's either coming here or going to GT.

I believe the tweet said many fans wouldn't consider the rumored hire as flashy ..... Zero fans would consider the Larry Scott hire as flashy ......... don't see it.
A very large portion of fans are going to think that anyone other than Sanders isn’t flashy. That’s how I interpreted it. It seems like it’s their way of saying that the odds of it being Sanders are very slim.

Dang that sucks. He would’ve been amazing here in every sense. I think he might’ve even done better here than in cold ass Colorado even with their $$$ and P5 status.
I wouldn’t look too far into it yet. What’s not mentioned is that he could have “legit interest” in the USF job as well. Saying you’re interested in one thing doesn’t mean there isn’t interest in another, and this article doesn’t provide much insight to any decisions being made.

Well, there is this

With fans like these, who needs to read opponents boards...
Fans like what? Being mad that someone quit on the team? Not calling the kid a name, but it doesn’t mean that we have to be ok with it. It’s not like our opinion matters one bit in this.

I have no problem with him going in the portal but he committed to play this season so ******* play the entire season. Dude is a quitter no matter how you want to rationalize this piss poor decision.
At the end of the day there are no two ways about it. He quit on his team the last two games of the season. Like I said, it’s all good. Let the guys play who want to be here and maybe we’ll end up with a few less drops.

Let him go. If this is the mentality that they have going into the rivalry game, then I’m more than happy to see someone out there who wants to play and is possibly going to not drop as many

Opinion: USF should have hired Deion Sanders Yesterday - Fifth Quarter
Deion Sanders has been contacted by multiple FBS Teams. USF is... -

I’m not even a Taggart fan, but he literally went 19-7 his last two seasons here. Saying he wasn’t even .500 means nothing with what his final two seasons at USF looked like. He also increased his amount of wins each season here.

Wake me up when you find a candidate outside of Leavitt that is willing to take the USF job….
Leavitt isn’t willing to take the job. Move along.

Better then Jeff Scott who got endless excuses and praise for changing the culture to a losing one . WE have not been able to find any other coach with any sustained success or winning.
Literally had that coach in Taggart, he got a better job, and then we didn’t capitalize on it.
Just now, Rex Havoc said:Yes, since CJL USF always goes with the “safe” hire.
That’s a rumor and nothing more.

You’d rather have a semi-retired 65 year old Leavitt than the hottest coaching candidate in college football, who is undefeated this year - 25-5 overall, and who got a 5 star recruit to an FCS school? Look I get the love for nostalgia and the respect for CJL for the past, but Deion would launch USF to the stratosphere.
I’m so insanely tired of the “we need Leavitt” hornblowers. People just don’t get it.
1 hour ago, Bull Awakening said:One coach has many top 25 wins vs FBS while the other coach does not.
When’s the last time he got a top 25 win as a head coach? And if he doesn’t have any in 10+ years, why exactly would that be?

What Fernandez has done to make the program what it is today is phenomenal. I was at a game last week, and watching tonight has shown me so far that this might be the most lethal team we've had. And my goodness, Puisis can shoot lights out. We might suck across so many other sports, but this is one that we need to get behind more.
