White has had 8 starts (excluding Maryland) and I would imagine the vast majority of reps in practice. Unfortunately it's not working. I think part of the problem could be that he had a bunch (I think 7 or 8) D1 guys on his team in high school which made him look really good. It's very different when you have to step up and put it on your shoulders in at the college level. While he didn't have much help on Saturday from the o line, he was just 5 for 20 in the first half against Western Carolina and we almost lost that game. I agree with one of the early posts that mentioned how good Wilson looked in the spring game. Go with Bench and eventually give Wilson a look. The season is still early and conference play starts this week. A win over UConn will be a step in the right direction.

White's a young kid and in a tough situation. I don't get why we keep starting him. If Taggart is going to be stubborn and stick with White the rest of the season it may end up costing him his job which would be awful for the program. As mentioned in another thread, go with Bench and eventually give Wilson a shot. Flowers should be a running back.

I trust the coaches on this one, but if White is not 100% I don't see playing him.
