Again COA and his staff has a lot of work to do this offseason heading into next season, or they will find themselves is this type of game this time next year either as the 10th or 11th seed. Normally in a transition season there is a least a glimmer of hope going forward but I don't see it all. This is just an indication of how bad this roster is right now and his incoming class w/o Montero is kind of uninspiring. I highly doubt any of these coaches ever imagined their 1st season would be this bad and frankly it will be very interesting to see how they respond since neither has experience such a colossal failure.I agree with most of that, my hope is that our guys that shoot the ball (Morrillo, Holston) get a lot more consistent in doing so. We brought in a little size which is a positive because we don't have any, but we need shooter that are more than catch and shoot. We need some guys that can spot up, and maybe take the lane
Exactly we need shooters and scorers which currently is not in the incoming class. *I'm sorry I just can't get too excited about a maybe 6ft SG unless he's all everything coming out of HS. I hope Jahmal McMurray proves me wrong because COA is really going to need this lil dude for offensive production next season.* Even with a skilled player like Montero projected to play next season, the staff was still recruiting offensive talent at the 2,3,and 4 spot. They to must recognize the void of scorers but now that Montero is not coming, it really puts the pressure on COA and his staff to come up BIG this spring is finding guys that can shoot and score or look for similar results next season.
One hundred percent agreed, and that section about McMurray was outstanding
