    NCAA announces 2022 football rule changes The NCAA announced rule changes for college football Thursday morning that will take effect in 2022. One of the rules that is interesting deals with targeting in the 2nd half of the game. The new rule will allow the team to appeal to the ncaa if a player is ejected for targeting in the 2nd half and have the penalty of sitting out the 1st half of the next game be overruled if the ncaa rules official deems it should not have been a penalty to begin with.
