  1. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="JupiterBull" data-cid="1247009" data-time="1390145570"><p>Rivals has him as a 2 star, and a UCF fan noted on another thread.<p>Yes...this is the guy.
  2. I think it has to fit your system and culture too. That is what rivals or other services doesnt account Work ethic is also more important that one may think. I say this knowing one of our players mothers really well. Putting time in the gym and film room is important. Timing too. We brought three oline recruits that are already close and will likely lineup together in 2016/2017. That kind of.chemistry is important imo. Taggart will right your ship. Should be two best programs in aac
  3. Sorry for confusion...yes...herrod..sorry I only follow rivals and did not realize. I would say 3/4* is more accurate for him. I am just a couch potato but his tape is very impressive. I think that mccants, herrod and flowers are your best recruits based on tape. I have watched most film on cincy, ucf, usf, houston and those guys stand out to me.
  4. groupthink is unhealthy , moving posts takes it out of context. And it should be USif, a BCS Trophy is now added to the trophy case in East Orlando. A loud, somehow still arrogant dwindling fanbase over here that is in complete denial It must be really depressing thinking so little of your own team that even after the biggest win its history (not saying much), you have to rush over to your big brothers and beg for validation. Obviously you know that a single win over a Baylor team that didn't show up doesn't make it not embarrassing to be a UCFer. This post has so much delusion it is just hilarious. Wow. We beat one of the highest scoring teams in ncaa history , ranked #6 and won a bcs bowl. We lost one game by 3. We finished #10 / 12 on the season. No offense, but USF is far from big brother. I look forward to a great series between these two schools, but in reading a few of your posts, you alone of the most delusion on this board.
  5. That wouldnt keep UCF from the B12. We have pretty good ticket and merchandising revenue not to mention athletic fees. Also, I am pretty sure we have credit lines we can tap into if needed.
  6. Really jealous that you can sign 31 too. Lockette and Taggart are great recruiters. Funny thing is, I think that 2* running back you just picked up is a huge sleeper and may be the best player outside of flowers...just my.opinion. That 2* reminds me alot of Kevin Smith.
  7. I know your coaching staff has been better than ours in the last few years, but be careful with that, we thought the same thing recently, had a bunch of guys who had seen lots of time as starters because of injuries the prior season, and then became the starters due to draft or graduation...and it didn't pan out. I used to think guys who got a good amount of playing time during a previous season wouldn't be so green, but it seems that the starters do see many snaps (as opposed to defensive guys who shuffle in and out more often due to being winded) are still beyond the #2s. hopefully there isn't much of a dropoff, but if there's even one guy who is a weak link, a half decent defensive staff will attack that. We are losing three seniors so we will take a step back, but I think by the second or third game we will be well settled in. We do have really good.coaching at that position. I hear you. Chemistry is key. Our offense will struggle...especially early. Defense will improve drastically with some silents we have at juco
  8. UCF coaches believe harris has all the tools to be a tremendous pro style qb...alot of great traits. USF would have loved to have him..dont kid yourself. Flowers is not a qb..diondre maybe
  9. We have some good qbs in the wings as well as solid oline. Qb position will regress, but oline dropoff will be marginal. Losing storm hurts. All other positions will improve.
  10. Stars a crap. We have a two star oline that is first team all state 7a. Porter is ur best recruit and was 2 star. You guys need to learn that after 4 stars its a crapshoot. We have a few early commits that havee suspect offer lists. We have a few that are osu, alabama, usc targets...you shall see...signing day. Usf will have a great class..taggart is great recruiter...can he coach?
  11. I'm just comforted by the fact that a mere 3 points was the difference between your best year and our worst year, head-to-head. Shh don't tell them that even they thought they were going to loose our match up this year as fans started clearing out before the end of the 4th. UCF you are the better team THIS YEAR. You are acting like the virgin that finally got laid and think you're a **** stud now. Do it for a few years and lets see if it is legit. You guys thought you were legit without EVER doing it...so which is worse ? oh tell me that story how you were ranked #2 for 4 days.... UCF lost to that team 64-12. Insulting that USF team just makes that UCF team look even more pathetic. Hahahah..sad that USF still holds onto its great victory over a mid major. UCF will be in the big 12 and usf is getting left behind. You can have your 64 12 victory. We will.take the trophy and invite
  12. I'm just comforted by the fact that a mere 3 points was the difference between your best year and our worst year, head-to-head. No... a bcs bowl win , conf champ and top 10 ranking was. We played horrrrrible and still won. Good teams win close games.
  13. Shadowbull. ..beating memphis wasnt luck. Of course you have close games when you are 11-1. What about Auburn. Good teams find ways to win in adversity. Ucf had poor games against Memphis, usf , smu and temple (injuries) and still won them all. That is resiliency And coaching
  14. Dogma...I would like to see ucf take more jucos and tranfers but go take a look at our roster and tell me how many...I would be suprised if it were more than three. I am sure ucf misses out on serious talent. Not sure why everyone thinks I was making some sort of snobbish remark. I still stand by my statement that it can result in long term downside.
  15. Oleary stated it on record. He was asked the question directly. Not sure why you guys think that is absurd. I never said we didnt take transfers. I mentioned because someone was thinking that usf was getting all the requests. UCF gets just as many. I am sure USF gets 40 a season. Some of you guys humor me....been following college football since 97 or something...
  16. UCF has had 40+ transfer requests and have rejected them all. Transfers are a quick way to plug holes but can result in long term issues.
  17. TripleB, we didnt start d1a football until 96 I think. Not exactly a 34 head start.
  18. Regarding UCF being the youngest school and strength of conference. UCF would have beat pitt, wvu and cuse no problem. The big east has never been that good with usually on good team : ville or mountain queers. This year was the same and we beat said team. You could have replaced temple, memphis, smu with old BE and results would have been the same. Heck..memphis was probably better than those teams this year and we curb stomped rutgers. This concept that the big east was so good in past years is delusional. There were a few good years, but just as this year the OBE was never that good and usf has no excuse for not winning it for 9 years when UCONN could win it. UCF also came in directly from CUSA and related recruiting classes and went 8-0. You knock UCF but we play consistent and win our conference. Had UCF had the benefit of the BCS tag we would have done alot with it. We did this with mid major players.
  19. What are we talking about here....200k a season? Peanuts. Also, the players deserve it because the demand for their services are there. Whats up with communist assertion that they should struggle as much as you in college.Keep in mind many of them face a bleak future after college football.
  20. I see. So first of all UCF is tied for second, and secondly they aren't factoring in who is playing and who isn't. Frankly, Phil Steele does a far better job of analyzing "youngest" and UCF is at 26. Still young, but not the second youngest in the FBS. La Tech is far and away the leader, followed by Cal. http://www.philsteele.com/Blogs/2013/JUN13/DBJune15.html As of june 15th...lmao. Is that how you buy your stock?
  21. Yeah that showed last night?...I will state this...in our wort year with a true freshman qb we almost beat them in the best year they have ever had...we will continue to bring in better talent and will be back in no short order... Holy Spinjobs in here. UCF turned the ball over 5 times and still WON, that shows how good and resilient this UCF team is. This reminds me of your game at Notre Dame a few season ago where they turned it over 4-5 times with a few in the red zone just like UCF last night and you beat them. The overreaction here is just like after your Houston moral victory and looked what happened the next few weeks. Win more than 3 Conference games and then we'll see where USF goes in the future. Emotional Highs then crappy losses is your trend right now What talent? According to rivals? Great teams don't turn the ball over 5 times. Ever. And we had nothing to do with...you just mastakenly handed the ball to us? Taks a hike buddy...now go check out the talent your briging to your program and who we are bringining in...spin job..jesus...

We came in with a very young team as a midmajor and may go undefeated in the conference. Crazy things happen in rivalry games...just ask alabama.

You should have seen the temple game depth chart.

No spin ,still winning w 5TOs is impressive and look at both Programs records the last 2 seasons So u are 'recruiting ranking guy 'and the season is not even over yet? Who cares it is December. Stanback has had a huge impact for UCF as a True Freshman and he had only 1 other offer . Wow...im not...but ill say this only one time...you will have better success then devloping kids that or more talented coming then hoping you find Stanbeck or hoping you find a Bortles that nobody gave a realistic look at qb...you can't sustain a progaram like that..it is December, but do you seriously beleive you think your going to a get a run on a bunch of talented recruits? Yeah they will see the light after the bcs game...unfortunately Oleary is your coach and eighteen year old kids dont want to play for that guy... Lol at this post. So much irony. I dont care what some third party website that is completely understaffed says about our recruits star ranking. Measurables, character, offer list and will they fit the system and culture. GOL is all business and kids respect him for that. Being a family friend of a 2013 recruit that had both offers I can tell you that you have no idea what you are talking about.
  25. u are comparing an AAC berth to a Big East berth? do u honestly believe the AAC is better than the Big East? the AAC has no legitimate championship contenders. the Big East had West Virginia. Thi i'd also much rather play Temple and Memphis as doormats than Pittsburgh and Syracuse. u should know that well, the Knights are 0-1 against Pitt and 0-3 against Cuse. imagine UCF gets to the Big East in 2005 rather than USF. do u have 10-win seasons? do u beat WVU, Louisville, Cinci in the same season? congrats on the good season in the AAC. but get high off your own aroma. the Big East the AAC is not. We would have beaten wvu, pitt and cuse had we played them. Indeed my post went above your head. If you gave ucf bcs tag over the past 10 years then I would wager we would have one the conference. Didnt we beat both defending BE champs. I think your opinion of the OBE is inflated. Better than aac, but not that great. This is such a stupid hypothetical post.
