Its Not About The Money

As we can see, Leavitt may have said that initially initally about the money. But he later renegotiated for a multi-million dollar contract. And went on a spending spree.  The closet of GQ model wannabe Jim Leavitt. The last time I saw a closet like this it was in The Rock's Game Plan movie. Geez.  He probably gave away his USF labeled clothes to make room for more Armani suits.

At first glance, it looks like the men's section of a department store. It shows the greed that has now taken over college football. Its like, let's compete with the NFL. Take the focus off sportsmanship and learning and put it on TV contracts and outbidding each other for the better coaches. A book on how this crap came in to college football, like it did to government, would be a NY Times best seller. Its not about the kids anymore, and its been years since it has been.

But with never finishing top 25 this is the closet Leavitt deserves.

I know there is a ton of greed in college football. Point is, where did it start? Because with it started all the other crap. The need for the NCAA to watch EVERYTHING. The coaches cheating like at Michigan. The extra coaching staff being hired to circumvent NCAA rules with titles that hide what they truly are. Its avalanched and gotten bigger and bigger. When did it start? Who started it? Bear Bryant, who's closet must have been pretty small based on what he always wore, had a policy that his pay was always $1 less then the university president's. Its football. Its not brain surgery or solving the energy crisis. The commercial aspects are just revolting at times. Its not about the money. Sure Jim, sure. See you in court this week with $ signs in your eyes.
