Well, when each year USF's situation becomes objectively worse to recruits...you can either call it an "excuse" or a "reason" that we fail to get better.

If the AAC as whole couldn't convince any team to jump from the MWC (because they want a better conference) what do you think recruits are thinking?  

I mean, we got into this situation where UCF  has better recruits than us when they were on a "level" conference playing field...Now they're in a collapsing Big12, but it's a collapsing conference that's still the envy of G5s.  

Will the AAC survive?  Will we turn into CUSA 2.0?  Good luck selling kids that can compete with top 25 teams on that. 

So yeah, I can realistically say that Scott might have more trouble finding good defensive players next year, than he did this year, through no fault of his own.

It's always okay to call it as you see it... as long as it's okay to say we don't see it the same way.
