I was an honorary Warhawk.........played AAU basketball for them back in the day!

Thor has been Clearwater's OL coach for the last couple of season, so the kids have an idea. He was also coaching track, I think. I look forward to the possibility that my grandson could be playing for him in a couple of years.

Very cool, what year and for what coach?

I never played AAU b-ball (was my second sport behind baseball), but I did play basketball for two years at Boca Ciega before transferring to Seminole for my last two years.

Must've been early 90's.  Played for Bill Killalea and Clint Hrbic.  Bogey was always a tough out, I had some friends that played for them.

Nice...small world. And yeah, I was on the JV squad at Bogie and an instant starter on Varsity at Seminole - coincidentally, under Coach Killalea and with his son, John.

And did you play for Coach Price at Largo with Ron Hale?

Price came the year after I graduated, unfortunately.  Ron was a year behind me, so I played with him 3 years..........he was a helluva player.  We had a couple of teams that should've contended for state titles, but choked early in the playoffs.  Was that around the time you were there at Seminole as well?  If so I'm sure we probably crossed paths on the court at some point.
