The Knight Commission believes the best way to repair the NCAA's "broken governance model" is to remove the football teams of the bowl subdivision from the association...

If history is any indicator it probably means bad things for us, because well pretty much everything leads to bad things for us.

Mostly symbolic. They have no actual power.

long story short, to me at least, its a proposal that this new body governs the FBS instead of the NCAA because money.

The NCAA responded saying they basically work for the schools already (true) and are already assessing the "long-term sustainability of intercollegiate athletics" ( whatever that means)

This. Nothing would change for FCS schools, and pee-5 schools would come out clean.  Another way to f over the g5 schools would be my guess.  G5 is like the American middle class—always paying the bills.

Of course the only danger of this is that it could further separate us. I suspect we would be viewed as middle class with even less money than now.

I still think we would get pennies on the dollar for our product.

if the P5 do separate, do the G5 schools hop in with FCS? At that point, what separates G5 from them?
