With the line for the Notre Dame game being somewhere in the 25 to 26 point range, I was wondering if anyone knew what the biggest betting upset in USF football history was that resulted in an outright win? Last time we played Notre Dame we were +10. I wasn't able to find an online resource that listed historical betting lines. I can't think of any games that USF won where they were a 20+ point underdog, but I could be wrong. I have to imagine an outright win Saturday at +25 would be the biggest in our history. Just curious to see if anyone else knows.

That one crossed my mind. I definitely think it would be one from the Independent/C-USA days

Most memorable or biggest upset by the spread are two different stories. I would rank the Auburn and WV as 1 and 2 because it was when I was in college and part of the excitement.  MY opinion is obviously bias, but I rank the FSU, Kasas, and ND upset  are up in the top 5.

This article said that we were a 22 point underdog against Pitt in 2001.

Today we look back at USF's first-ever marquee win in football, and probably its most shocking.

That was +22 points. We need CJS to bring back that magic.

I'm talking just against the spread. The 25 or 26 points we are getting against ND is a huge number.

I wonder about the 2005 Louisville game.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
