There are expextations this year to live up to. Hopefully there aren't any injuries that will give people on this board an excuse to continue to tamp down expectations and hold the program back. Yep. God forbid Yetna and Collins go down I'm having the same expectations.

Sounds like you may be in that camp. Yep. I can't wait for 2 kids to get hurt and then not blame the coach. You really are a pita sometimes. I hope we win every freaking game. If everyone stays healthy and we shat the bed then I'd be tempted to come to your side. But to blame the coach when injuries happen to key players is just silly. I know, I'll say it for you, he hasn't finished better than 7th in a conference for X number of years.

I'm pretty sure there are expectations every year, from MK to CBG, to live up to when talking about results that they talk about before and after season. The expectations you're talking about are pretty much inconsequential and nothing more than a convenient, self serving excuse to whine and then look stupid trying to denigrate other fans for not engaging in such frivolous nonsense ...

And while I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you are just being sacastic, as to say I was accusing you of hoping for just that, just reread what I said to you - "Just saying that SOME (not you specifically) will find the silver lining ", which is a far cry from accusing YOU of hoping for player injuries. I didn't blame Gregory for Yetna getting hurt, but I do blame him for losses that are a result of him being a TERRIBLE offensive coach: He routinely abandons an already working half court offense late in games - he'd instead run an offense using players to drive to the basket who can't make free throws or finish regularly - blowing several second half leads (see below) because the offense couldn't score when he turned them one dimensional He'd have Collins bring the ball up the court leading to poor shots as the shot clock runs out or a turnover He hasn't recruited and/or developed anyone on the roster who can knock down a mid-range jumper, other than Williams He hasn't recruited and/or developed players that can hit free throws (2019-20 we ranked #327 in the country; we ranked #337 in 2018-19) Of our 17 losses last year, we blew a 2nd half lead in 10 of them, because the offense **** the bed: IUPUI - Led by 1 with 17:47 to go, then outscored 30-12 to lose 70-53 Nebraska - Led by 7 with 12:31 to go, then outscored 28-14 to lose 74-67 Utah State - Led by 4 with 1:07 to go, and lose in OT Florida State - Led by 10 with 6:14 to go, then outscored 19-3 to lose 66-60 at East Carolina - Led by 2 with 2:42 to go, then outscored 7-2 to lose 62-59 Memphis - Led by 14 with 12:59 to go, then outscored 31-13 to lose 68-64 at UCF - Led by 5 with 1:58 to go, then outscored 6-0 to lose 55-54 Wichita State - Led by 1 with 17:55 to go, then outscored 29-15 to lose 56-43 at Wichita State - Tied with 6:10 to go, then outscored 20-10 to lose 65-55 at UConn - Led by 1 with 9:37 to go, then outscored 32-24 to lose 78-71 Cincinnati - Led by 13 with 12:49 to go, then outscored 36-11 to lose 79-61 That team WITHOUT Yetna built those leads and Gregory was the one who went away from worked and lost those games. So, 14-17 could have easily been 19-12 or better WITHOUT Yetna. That's why those that are lazy and throw out "Yetna Injury" as the reason for our record last season are either to lazy or to miopic to look at the facts. Now Gregory has a team, and external expectations, so this season is 100% on him. He built this team now he has to prove he can coach it. First, you know I'm not hoping for injuries. You should know me better than that. And you seem to be a knowledgeable basketball guy. I would think you would realize that crunch time is different than the rest of the game and having one of your better options not available down the stretch hurts you. Do I think a couple of the games can be put on him? Sure.

But my expectations are top 2-
