    It's going to be a very long year. Face facts, here's a depiction of our O-Line in the trenches giving it their all;

    kept looking at this (hypnotic lol), but the assessment is just too harsh. They have a long way to go no doubt, but they started doing a number of things right last night and in a few cases opened up some pretty holes (ie the untouched Ford TD). Hopefully they'll keep moving in that direction and can turn this picture into nothing but dudes giving high-fives.

    FSU will probably end up doing something stupid by firing Taggart. Takes him about two and a half seasons to figure it out

    Yeah, they showed flashes yesterday. I think they're on the right track and I agree they'd be dumb to boot him before the team starts to be a team. They're just not there yet.

    Sparks. You gotta have a spark to light a fire. I saw sparks.

    GO BULLS!

    Agreed. This is why you play lesser teams to start the year instead of a ranked team that runs like a machine. Figure it out, get comfortable with your roles, and build momentum. Slow the roll, sure, we're not going to be world-beaters but they did start to click and it was fun to see. Much more hope for a few W's now.

  4. But this is the game he needed to shake out game-speed jitters--I don't want to think of what it could have done to him to play Wiscy. He was much more comfortable toward the end, so you could tell he was figuring it all out. Good accuracy, doesn't telegraph throws, knows he can't stand still, good running skills--yes, he is the type of QB that fits best at USF.

  5. I'm also not a fan of the turnover belts/chains, I subscribe to CCS's thinking there--too much "me" and not enough about what it does for the team and to the other team. But team-wise if the D "does their job" and creates insane turnovers like that game, they need to get a team reward: party, dinner, buncha happy meals i dunno but they deserve some solid recognition for that effort. It was great.

  6. No excuse, really. It's local, do your job and find something to encourage or appeal to your audience about the local team. Involve yourself in the Bulls community. You can't go to practice? Go interview some staff, the fans, the players (if CCS allows). Just no excuse, I'd subscribe to TBT like I'd take a pleasure cruise to Yemen.

    My oldest son was considering his engineering options. He had an offer from Rose Hulman, went for a visit, found my fathers memorial brick, and said  Gpa, nope and nope, too cold. Strongly considered G tech , which had also contacted him, triple nope, nope, no, no pretty girls.

    USF really does have a great engineering school, but GT would be better. Florida Tech is also pretty good, though not cheap I hear.

    Idk what part of campus your son went to, but there are lots of beautiful girls at GT...and most are friendly. Plus it's ATL, so outside of campus is target rich.

    I'd say Postmodernism and Critical Theory.  If we repent and tear down the College of Arts and Sciences, then build the world's biggest Chick-fil-A in it's place that would go a long way to showing we're working to change our ways.

    And a hobby lobby!

    Don't we already have an on-campus Publix? That was part of our Critical Theory about how we make USF a better place, so CFA would be like more blasphemy. ;)

    edit: to be clear, what I mean is Publix = founded locally, CFA = started near Atlanta (ie home of GT).
