I can’t believe some are shooting this kid down. Worse case scenario is that he pushes everyone to be better and the best case is that he turns out to be great.

Do some of you not smile at all during the duration of a day? 😁

Well...don't know the kid but worst case is he's mediocre and takes up a schollie.

As much as I dislike the guy I don’t think I can go that far. He more than likely has a family support. Maybe a reassignment to the mail room...

TBT needs more traffic and Matt fits their mold by being a sports troll--could be why they hired him to begin with. Much as JK gets on our nerves sometimes, he's closer to a real reporter so he'd probably be the one to go.

If they're getting after it in practice (actually, not reportedly), we should see some pissed off Bulls on Saturday night. I will even take a couple of stupid physical penalties to get some aggression back.

Where's Jerome "Personal Foul" Murphy when you need him?

Just please don't let it happen on friggin 3rd & long like Murph.

I'm pretty sure you watched the last 2 weeks.  I wish I could see some hope that we beat any of UC, Temple or UCF.

I surely did watch the last 2 weeks.

Thankfully, we're not playing the last 2 weeks in the next game.

I get what you're saying, but talking a short memory and acting it are two very different things. So far the only short memory I've seen is carrying over lessons to the next game to fix problem areas.

That said, I really hope you're right.

For as long as I've been on this board, overall, we have had an over-inflated opinion of ourselves as a program.  I'm as guilty of this as anyone else.

This year, I've backed off in being so emotionally invested ... I've put my family first, and made a point to DVR games so I can watch them after kids have gone to bed, or if they're doing something else that I'm not involved in - bottom line, when things I care about more than USF football are done.

I have to say, it feels good to have my priorities more in order this year, and I think my family appreciates it more.  It doesn't make the losses feel any better but it certainly keeps my attitude about USF football in check, and I'm more able to give my family the me that they deserve, which is 100%.

We're very blessed to be in a position where one of our main concerns in life is how our football team is performing.  So many others have far more pressing and dire circumstances - I feel for those people, and when I think about that, my angst over wins and losses for USF seems to wane.  Plus, with the way college football has evolved competitively within the last few years, with the deck being stacked against USF and our conference, I'd be lying if I said that didn't have an effect on my attitude towards football.

I believe USF will get there one day, but until they do, I plan on rolling with the punches and trying to enjoy every aspect of the ride for what it's supposed to be - a fun diversion from the everyday aspects of life.

same words, my signature. Well put.

Correct the naysayers take the easy way out and sound like *******. They create a thread on potential new coaches, why this or that person needs to be fired, why we should leave the conference, not give money or go to games until the firings start. I saw one chick on Twitter say she was not going to attend or watch any more games until Gilbert is fired. Way to stand up and support the the players who are students at your university honey.  Chickenshit yesterday, chickenshit tomorrow, chickenshit forever.

She probably held her breath when she was 2, but her parents didn't let her pass out. Needs time in a deprivation chamber to see just how much she doesn't matter without other people around. ;)

  7. No way CCS is CSH 2.0. Honestly I feel like year 2 is really like Strong's year 1. It would have been hard to screw up last year's team, but I do wish CCS would have taken the same road as Heupel did with the gnats--just run with the thing that works well while you slowly install your new stuff.
