AH but at least he can take a snap under center...In my book that puts him ahead of others..and I have fet to see him throw a floater.. just my opinion with the parents...perhaps there might be some more that see the importance of not fumbling.. Go Bulls So you would say the current depth chart is Bench, Eveld, White, Miller, Floyd? I'd say our current QB projected starter (for conference play) is something to this effect: Bench = 1 Eveld = 2 White = 3 Floyd = 4 QB Starter for AAC Opener = RANDOM(1-4,0) I would have to think unless Bench or White are football savants, they wont have the playbook down in time to start in the opener, but it's anyone's guess when everyone knows the plays back to front. IMO if there is an option I would love to RS White..that will give us a starting QB for 2 years after bench graduates..and time for new QB recruits to learn the system.. This is part of the reason I favor Miller..in there ..he can handle a snap and could be a good back up...only take White Red Shirt if there is no other choice.. USF NEEDS to build a quality QB backup program...If a starter gets hurt and looses mobility we can have someone step right in..Eveld can fill that role or Floyd from the shotgun.... go Bulls

If I remember we signed some fast LB that will hit campus this fall.. I also don't think we will have all the zone calls...FS killed us over the middle last year......every 3rd down when the need it it was another crossing route over the middle and we were not able to stop it. just walk down the field like a cake walk.. At least in the spring game the LB's looked a bit better and with our defensive line up a notch there might be more hurries and interceptions.. Go Bulls

He's a good option man like BJ Daniels..He will work out fine...With a good running game we will not have to pass on every down..it will keep the defense honest...and open up the quick short pass to the flats and over the middle..and a rare hail mary to the end zone..We will have our trick plays back..and the excitement...

If I were to bet the odds of him starting is about 1000%. .Both Floyd and Eveld have had a shot at starting and they just did not do well...They can be backups....might have another position for them also . they deserve to play just don't see them as top QB material. We also have Miller..and I thought he looked good in the spring game.. Redshirt White and let him get used to Collge ball.. Go Bulls

Yup, I have us anywhere from 2–6 wins anything beyond that that and Taggart is the real deal. We have lots of talent comming in...Got good running back Kennard Swanson etc.., our defense has all sorts of talent good corners and better Lb center was awfull last year.. and safety a new kicker in Adelman.. A couple of 300lb plus offensive guards.. with Steven Bench I can see winning eight games and a bowl... Go Bulls And dont be surprised if we wind up the giant killer and beat Michigan.. Go Bulls

My ideal situation is for White to be able to redshirt.. Bench has three years and White would have to uportunity to fill in an needed. in 2015...Floyd. Eveld and lets not forget about Miller could be backups I also do not believe we have seen Millers full potential. yet.... . Depth at QB has been an Issue and hopefully Steven Bench will be a large part in turning this program around and allow the building process.... Go Bulls

With Kennard Swanson comming in acording to other post USF should be fun to watch again.. We have a back field with backups for rotation...Landed some great defense..thats ready to rock..for interceptions and sacks.. A QB that can handle snaps, play the option life is good.. Got two 300 lbs recruits comming in so to me the only question is our o line making the holes and protecting the QB..I believe we are there ... anyone have the fine points on our O line??? Go Bulls

You do realize that it wasn't Johnny Manziel that transferred, right? ...... No offense to Mr. Bench. If he can be a BJ daniels or better I will be over joyed.....I think he will be a leader that the team can circle arround...He has gone to the camps and has a good idea of his strong points and weak points.. I believe Willie will be able to use his best traits..The little bit of critisism I heard was a slow read..and that can be worked out...A slow read is much better that floaters or fumbles. He has a strong work ethic and that will help set the tone for all the other team members... Any Idea where we will be able to see him practice this summer...Anthing planned for the Tampa area??? If bench doesnt come here it looks bad that we struck out on 3 possible transfers. How can you say otherwise? Im usually pretty optimistic, but this is just looking bad. A former Penn State quarterback could be making his way to the SEC. Steven Bench, who announced his decision to transfer from Penn State on April 24, is considering heading to Mississippi State, The Dispatch in Columbus, Miss., reports. Last week, ESPN reported Bench was looking into a handful of destinations, particularly USF and Mississippi State. But national reports have since focused on the Bulldogs, and Bench told The Dispatch that speculation surrounding his interest in Mississippi State is “very accurate.†“I want to feel comfortable at my new school and academics will play a part into it, atmosphere will play a part in the decision because obviously I got to live for the next three or four years,†Bench told The Dispatch. “I want to feel at home and I want to have fun and I want to get a good education.†Given the NCAA sanctions at Penn State, Bench is allowed transfer and become immediately eligible to play. He has three years of eligibility remaining. Fifth-year senior Tyler Russell is the projected starter at quarterback for the Bulldogs, but Bench said he isn’t ruling out the option of taking a redshirt season to learn the playbook wherever he might land. Quick Recap...to put everyone at ease Steven Bench made a decision to transfer...When He first annouced it ...he mentioned he stll had a red shirt available... IMO The reason for stating this was to give shools the option to have him learn the play book... and still play 3 years.and perfect his game.. Steven Bench openly stated he wanted to START.. At Mississippi he will not start this year.. After next year he would have to get the position by competing with all the new recruits.. ...Penn State all over again. But most important IMO is Willie T.. and BJ Daniels....recruited by the 49ers.. that is fact....USF can train NFL level QB's Would he risk choosing another school...I don't think so.... Raymond James is a NFL Stadium... that is where USF plays and where Steven Bench would play if he Chooses USF.. I might be wrong but I still think he will make the right choice and the reasoned out choice...a bird in the hand. starting at USF over any other program.
