  1. AMEN! You get blasted by more advertising at the stadium than you do watching a game on TV. The only music at college games used to come from the band,
  2. They're standard common place bulls. We dropped the Brahman for a reason, they are dopey looking and not very aggressive. The Bulls are more fierce. Yes, we should remember our history, but I have no problems with the new bulls being used. Which of these is your "standard common place bull"? - Angus - Hereford - Florida Cracker - Simmental - Brahman - Charolais - Limousin - Gelbvieh - Red Angus - Beefmaster - Brangus - Maine Anjou - Chianina Fierce Brahman Bulls http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=brahman+bull+jpgs+free&qpvt=brahman+bull+jpgs+free&FORM=IGRE
  3. USF hasn't been the Brahman's since the 80's. Do you think that the bull statues on campus are dark, because they are "bronzed"....like many statues seen on campus around the globe.. IE: Bobby Bowden! You haven't traveled much in Florida if the only dark bulls you have seen were in bull fights. Cattle and Cowboys in Florida Hundreds of years ago, long before tourists or even cities, there was another Florida. When the Spaniard Ponce de León discovered it in 1513, Florida was mostly wide, green spaces. In 1521 when he returned, he brought horses and seven Andalusian cattle, the ancestors of the Texas Longhorns. He knew he'd found pastureland. Spanish explorers turned Florida into America's oldest cattle-raising state. The early cattle-raising days were rough for Spanish settlers. The St. Augustine missionaries who raised beef also fought Indian raids and mosquitoes. Despite the cattle fever ticks, storms, swamps and snakes, before 1700 there were already dozens of ranches along the Florida Panhandle and the St. Johns River. http://fcit.usf.edu/...oys/cowboys.htm
  4. Not a USF tradition, but I remember doing the Tampa...Bay chant at Rowdies games in the 70's. It can get quite loud with a full stadium. It would be a tradition if we brought it back and used it all the time. I'm not aware of any law, USF policy, or TSA rule that prohibits anyone from doing the Green - Gold chant...All it requires is student or fan initiative, not AD approval/sanction.

It would be a tradition if we brought it back and used it all the time. But, we're USF, or South Florida, not Tampa Bay...like the Rowdies or Bucs How often do we have a full stadium? Chants, longer tailgating, or live bulls aren't the key to filling the stadium, or improving the game experience.
  6. The only tradition USF needs to AMEN! The only tradition USF needs to create/manufacture/script is winning Big East games/titles.
  7. Speaking about accountability...since you are employed by USF, why are you spending time reading and posting on "fan forum" rather than working?
  8. We've heard that before! People need to stop being so **** pessimistic on here. We have a senior heavy team where it matters, with a ton of talent. I know it hasn't worked out in the past and we have had some very unlucky breaks but Jesus be excited about your team. Dont take for granted the talent we have to work with this year. I'm willing to bet half the people saying "I've heard that before" are the ones screaming their lungs out about the lack of excitement from the student body when in reality it's mostly because they have the same mindset. Forget about the past and get excited because this team has the talent and maturity at the right spots to make a great run. And I don't want to hear the excuse "I don't want to be disappointed again" because either way if we have a bad year everyone is going to be disappointed, not just the ones that are saying we have something special. This has been one of the most exciting offseasons in USF history from recruiting, transfers, and the basketball/softball teams doing very well in the post season. I understand it's freedom of speech and people have been disappointed many times in the past but we very well could be on the verge of a huge turn in USF athletics and it's time to put the past behind us and get excited for what's about to take place at Ray Jay this season. You call it pessemism, I call it experience. Bingo!
  9. That's pretty much it. Do your part to show up, and if you have any extras, sell them to USF fans. USF "fans" that don't have tickets??????????????????????????????????????????????
  10. None of which has much of anything to do with the upcoming 2012 football games at RJS.

I had my share of disappointment with the team every year is a new year and my optimism reloads. We're stacked at so many positions and have Sr leaders at about every level on any unit. 2012 is the year of the Bull Sofa King fired up for this season. Agree ^^^ Agree that some have the attitude of "show me first", but That is the way some are ... But if ur in front of me - get ready for the Stampede !!! Didn't you say the samething last year?
  12. We've heard that before! I've never said it before I wasn't suggesting that you did.
  13. Noles could account for at least some, if not most of it! Opening night (vs Chattanooga) should be very telling.
  14. Let's hope so Do you really think that SFU fans who bought them are going to renew them next year????
  15. And they went the year before that and beat Clemson in the bowl game. Obviously where they go to camp doesn't mean anything. What they learn and do at camp does. It seems that this camp is all football, no nonsense so that is exactly the way to start season. But it didn't help one iota in the Big East, which is what truly matters, 2010 3-4 (including the Bulls 1st and only loss ever to Syracuse.) 2011 1-6 (w/ only win coming against Syracuse)
  16. Only 3 seasons of the 15 were in FCS.(1-AA).
  17. You're right...I overlooked the fact that sections 342, 343, and 344 are part of the student allocation. So add the number of those seats to the available seat in the lower bowl, bringing it back up to more than 10K and then subtract the number of Group Seats purchased by Nole fans! USF just doesn't have the fan base (avid + casual) to fill RJS by itself. We'll be lucky to have 50% overall.
  18. Per Greg Aumen: 18,389 season tickets sold and another 3,250 reserved for staff, trade and other uses. That total of 21,639 is up from 20,712 at this point last year 20,712 (season tickets + band, & other USF use) + 12,001 (Students) = 32,713 That leaves 9k+.(minus FSU sections 131, 231) in the lower bowl (42K) AFAIK, Florida State was originally allocated (4500K) sections 132 and 231(?) and the remainder in the 300 sections, and then recently allocated an additional 5000K most in the 300 sections. Someone mentioned FSU being allocated section 240, whicht seems odd, since that is the USF new grad season ticket section ($99).
  19. I can't say I remember UPS bringing them, always been USPS AFAIK. The last few years USPS had delivered mine, but like most everyone else, I got a UPS tracking number this year It's also possible they are being shipped via UPS from Arkansas to Tampa, Orlando, etc., and then delivered locally by USPS.
  20. Yes, this is the 3rd Women's Clinic he has hosted. They have beginner and advanced clinics.
  21. A real Bulls fan would have put off the heart attack until after the season
  22. Is the team going to play so poorly that we all need to get drunk in the RJ?
