I down voted it because I felt that it was unnecessarily negative and I don't believe that we're a, "dumpster fire."

Additionally, if our team had been good, there wouldn't be a job opening.

Don’t give him the attention he obviously desperately craves.

I like the young staff route.

It seemed like the last staff was completely out of touch with the players.

Also, if you are young, I think you are more impatient to see results so if something doesn't work you may be willing to make an adjustment versus......"We just need to execute better".

If they struggle, hopefully they will learn something, adjust and improve.

Look at how Charlie Weis Jr. (26 years old) did against SMU.

Now look at how Kerwin Bell (54 years old) did against SMU.

Not saying they are apples to apples but I get tired of these stubborn old coaches telling me how great their coaching is because of things they have done in the past.

I agree with this. I choose to think of these hires as a positive. Give me some youth and some fire.

How many people on this board said “no retreads”.....as they say...”be careful what you wish for”.

This program was/is in desperate need for some enthusiasm. This is the closest I’ve felt to the “old days” in a long time. There is an excitement in this youth movement. I’m in 100%

    Right?

Pretty sure the new slogan is:

USF - United from Start to Finish

That means everyone. Tampa, University, staff, coaches, players, boosters, fans...you name it.

Good luck with that...I have a feeling that all of you well wishers from Clemson are going to get sick of this place pretty quickly. I know that I do.

We have a fan base that somehow has a superiority complex and an inferiority complex at the same time.

I like many of you on this board am a DIEHARD. Hell, what I said is completely and totally factual. But that does not take away the fact that I love my alma mater on both the academic and athletic side. But like a family member USF is far from perfect.

Fair enough. Here’s my thing....here’s what I tell my kids “if you don’t think you’re great, nobody else will either”.

At the end of the day, we as USF fans, as a program, need to believe that we are great. We need to believe that we are destined for greatness and that it’s inevitable.

If we keep talking about the program like we are second rate...and we keep pointing out our own deficiencies we will always be a second rate program.

I’m not a fan of self deprecating humor. I’m not wired that way. You never hear the greats in any walk of life talk poorly about themselves.

The reason that there are so many Jim Leavitt fans, Matt Grothe fans, and fans of all of the original Bulls (and I know you are one of them) is because we were on the fast track to greatness. We never backed down. We never conceded a ******* thing to anyone. We had a belief that we were going to be great and we did great things.

Skippy, Willie, and Charlie sucked the life out of this program.....yes Willie too with his no loyalty ass. Let’s get it back and let’s stop pointing out our deficiencies. GO BULLS!!!

Sounds like a great opportunity. Anyone could come in make up a little ground and claim a huge victory. The possibilities seem endless

I don’t know if this is sarcasm or not, but this what I’m getting at.

This USF program has a ton of recently untapped potential. CJS hit it on the head in his press conference. Great market, great city, great recruiting etc.

There are very few elite programs in this country....all the rest are never in serious contention for National Titles.

I would think that at some point someone would want to stake their claim and become a legend at some of these “lesser” programs. Establish some roots and actually build something.

Actually "we" improved the year after Allen left.  The defense regressed but the team overall was better.

Allen brought a lot to the team.  I'm not sure we turn it around in 2015 without him.  Not saying we should look for one and done guys but even Alabama losses it's coordinators every couple of years.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the guy. I hated to see him go. I can deal with 3-5 year tenures with the HC if that’s how this is going to go, but we need to build a program with solid assistants that are being groomed to grow from within.

This guy is older with clear, stated aspirations to move on quickly. Doesn’t seem to fit the “new mold” of younger guys that want to build something.

No one...I repeat NO ONE...is here for the long haul. Money talks ******** walks...

Some will stay longer than others. To accept we will always a “one and done” stop is BS. Why bother building a program with that attitude and low self worth? I don’t buy it. I’m not expecting people for life, but this is a good job.

Hey if you are telling me we could duplicate one season of Tom Allen’s 2015 USF defense....I would take it.

Worry about 2021 when it gets here.

And then we sucked Immediately after he left...I’m not interested in that. I’m tired of the one and done crap.

I think Scott is in for the relative long haul. I want a staff that feels the same. Time will tell.

He doesn’t seem like a long term guy here.

He already had plans to move on when he went to FAU. Hopefully he does a great job while he is here...and hopefully some assistants are developed to move up to DC when he goes Willie Taggart/Tom Allen on us and jumps at the next opportunity that comes.

Hmmm.  Im watching FAU give SMU all they can handle right now - tied up.  That same SMU team that embarrased us at home this year.

Unless we see noticeable improvement quickly next year, Im not as optimistic.

☝️This....FAU is tough. Makes you realize how bad we really were this year. Coach Scott and staff have their work cut out for them.
