We need an OCS just for that purpose!!!!!!!  We do not have a great college experience.

This line of thinking drives me nuts.  Build what we can, expand and pretty it up when we can.  All this BS about metal this, rust that, blah, blah, blah...... , nobody cares about that in an environment like last night.  Maybe one day we will get our heads out of our butts and realize that we need to build tradition on campus.  ucf blows us away in college feel.  We will never have that at Ray Jay, NEVER!  Every year we renew that lease we give up a year of investing in tradition.

Right on....I am an avid OCS preacher as well. If that game yesterday doesn’t convince everyone associated with USF that we need a stadium then nothing will.

I was watching on TV at home and it sounded every bit as loud as ANY college game I’ve ever seen. It was as exciting as any game I’ve ever seen. You don’t need 85,000 to create a great college game environment. That game absolutely proved that.

I will take an “erector set” over Ray Jay all day every day.

I'm glad I was born with the gene that allows me not to care about winning the conference.

Honestly, if we did, I'd wonder about the conference.  I was, already.  I mean we never seem to hit on all cylinders, yet we were one of the best teams?  I don't know.  It just seemed pretty bad.  The conference winner will get a bone thrown down to them from the P5 table.  That's it.

Very strange post. A big enough fan to post nearly 59,000 times but indifferent about ever winning a conference championship?

  3. I hope Quinton reads this thread. I agree with all that’s been said. I don’t believe we’ve retired a jersey yet...#9 should be the first.

I am a 44 year old man, father of 2 young children ages 7 and 11. I have been around the block and don’t put athletes or anyone else on a pedestal, but Quinton Flowers has truly impressed me and has given my children somebody to look up to and admire. A true role model.

I agree with another poster, I wanted this win so badly for Quinton. I look forward to seeing what the next chapter in his life is. I know he will be a success. Much respect and best of luck Quinton!

Coach strong going full beta there is what it is.  Thankfully our players havent bought in to that BS.

Could you ever imagine Saban or Belicheck saying something like that?!? Hell Jim Leavitt or Willie Taggart would never say something like that.

I have been trying to stay supportive and believe he’s the best man for this job at this moment in program history....but quotes like these are making it tougher.

  5. Quinton came to USF because he wanted to leave legacy at a program. He’s such a tremendous young man. I love the Bulls no matter what, but I am rooting extra hard for him to win a conference championship and a big Bowl game to absolutely cement his legacy as the GOAT Bull QB (probably already has, but it would be extra sweet)!

    Go Bulls!

Yes. This is for the right to play in our first ever conference championship. We've never had so much riding on one game before. If we win, our next game will be the most important in program history.

👆🏻..this is the biggest (most important game in history). After we win, the next one will be the biggest. It is time for us to finally win a conference championship.

It looks like Chip Kelly is going to UF so CCS can forget about that option. Get this team fired up and ready for battle!!!

    GO BULLS!!!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🐂🐂🤘🏼🤘🏼

These are fair points, but it's all "if" we lose, while really assuming we will.  How about considering that while we haven't faced a team like C all year, the opposite is true.  How about how we historically match up with them?  How about looking at common opponents (really, we stack up ok in this metric also)?  How about it's a rivalry game and our guys will be jacked for it?  And how about we're the mother ******* USF Bulls and our goal of a conference championship is in our control and we're going to bludgeon the knightcrawlers to death?!?!?

I like this quote and I’m with you! I am certainly not conceding a loss to UCF. There is a lot of heart in that Bulls locker room and they are not going to lay down by any means. This is a great rivalry that gets better every year. I’m excited for it. GO BULLS!!!

  8. We need an OCS. Period. I agree with those that say the increased “National exposure” of weeknight games is bad exposure. It’s a joke and it doesn’t even resemble big time college football.

    Is this really our pitch?

“Hey recruits, you get to play in an NFL stadium. One with red and pewter seats....and yes, you will see 75% of them with no a$$es in them while you are playing, it’ll be great.! You’ve seen that cool pirate ship on TV, the one with the cannons?? Yeah, that won’t be going off during your games either.”

“You’ll feel like the bastard step child of Tampa Bay football all 4 years you come to USF!....you are in a horrible conference that nobody cares about. You will never play for a National Championship. The fan base blows. The local media coverage is non-existent”

I will keep ringing the OCS bell until it gets done. We need Mr. Jeff Vinick to help us get a stadium. We need to create our own brand. Our own unique game day experience. Nothing else will ever change until this happens. I guarantee it.

If he doesn't make it in the NFL and hasn't already decided what he wants to do some high ranking USF alum with hiring power should consider reaching out to him.

I agree completely. I would love to see him stay in the Tampa Bay area. And he strikes me like another Warrick Dunn or Derrick Brooks type of guy.

Benefit from (luck of the draw) talent and good front office allowed him to win as a coach. His true experiment with having virtually all control was in New York where the same type of stubbornness, as mentioned above, was exhibited. Adamant about his system and his way when he’s not even on the court and not to mention throwing everyone and their cousin under the metaphorical bus rather than taking responsibility and actually making changes to his approach...

    I never said he wasn’t an a-hole.

He is arrogant as hell and a lot older now. The Knicks are a train wreck. But in his prime, he is arguably the greatest coach in NBA history. Championships don’t lie.

Yeah, he had MJ and Kobe/Shaq...but those teams weren’t winning before he took over. They called him the “zen master”, which is corny, but he brought a different perspective to coaching and leadership.
