I am thinking about taking my son to the games on the 29th - is this two separate tickets or one?

SeatGeek has tickets listed for both the women vs Jacksonville and the men vs MVSC

    Yes. Two separate tickets.

However, MK posted earlier today that you can get free admission to both games by mentioning #USFTwitterHerd at the box office.

It does, it show the opposite trajectories that the two programs have been on for the last 10 years.

Not really. The Gasparilla Bowl is one of the AAC's bowl tie-ins and the bowl happened to land a flailing UF team.

There's plenty of evidence of the different trajectories of the programs but this isn't one of those.

  3. I pulled the stats between last year and this year for both players that left and the newcomers. It's not great.

First, the departures. Castaneda, Collins, and Williams have all taken big steps forward in their shooting percentages. Collins's stats are the most drastic with a 5 point increase in FG% and 10(!) point increase in 3FG%. Of the 8 departures I was able to track, Yetna is the only one who has taken a step back.

For the newcomers, each of the 6 who played last season have seen both FG% and 3FG% fall off. Greene and Boggs are the most painful with 8 and 16 percentage point drops in their 3FG%. The average point drop in FG% is 8.5.

Having attended there for a few years as a student athlete, I do keep tabs on the program. Similar to us they just can’t seem to get the right coach. They tried and tried to do it with a host of retreads with no success. This year, they finally hired what “appears” to be a good coach and for the first time they have a mobile QB who looks good as well. The other issue for them is that they put more resources into their basketball program which everyone knows about (and that will never change). I suspect the FB program will get incrementally better in the coming years.

If Leipold can't find success there, I'm not sure anyone can. I expect Kansas to make a bowl in the next couple years.

Is there a restaurant that sponsors club or is it different every time? My 5 year old would be amped with a hot dog, but I’m hoping for a little bit more😂

Don't sell the hot dogs short; they're pretty good!

Between the hot dog, popcorn, and cookies, basketball games are my son's favorite activity. He's going to be over the moon when he sees tater tots are on the menu.

Found this while looking for another image....one of many to have graced the site over 23 years:

I think we're due for a new rendering that includes the newer developments around Athletics. Here's UAB's new stadium dropped a little further south with track and field moved to Sycamore Fields. By doing this, we lose tennis courts, basketball courts, and the soccer practice field.

No way can Cincy match it. But this cat is a different breed…he turned down millions from Mich State already for example. He could make more money in the long run by staying (Assuming he wasn’t successful at Notre Dame), but I suspect he will take the job. It’s too high prestige to turn down.

Back when he turned down MSU, the rumor was he was holding out for one of two jobs. Notre Dame is one of those.
