So, this exists:
http://www.change.or...ange-leadership
Really, it is becoming clear the leadership is a huge burden to this school. The latest VD5 article nails it.
So, a blogger and a guy that started a petition to fire Holtz makes it clear?
Not by themselves, but even by themselves they sure aren't signs of a healthy program.

Can confirm. I have heard the same thing personally from high level athletics admin
Can you confirm the years too? Also: will you be in green and gold or yellow and black for these games?
No wasnt told the years. And will be in Gold and.... GREEN!!!!!

I am in between 3 and 4. I still think there's a chance we dont remain in CDOA2 but that chance is absurdly tiny and part of me is thinking "back to the drawing board" and "10 year plan".

Have fun....

After Auburn's SECOND 0-7 SEC season:
"I'm really proud of the way the seniors competed this year. We fought hard. We've got some things to build on. I think if you look at this team, you look at the uhh... the graduation rates and the uh... we've had some killer team meetings and our team cook was just phenomenal this year. Really proud of this team, and really pleased to see the effort."

Pitt @ USF on stubhub. Starting at $2. Lower end zone: $4
My seats are in lower end zone. So...
$4 x 6 home games: $24
Existing seats ($145) - stub hub all season = $121
At this point it's looking like academic programs will be receiving an extra $121 from me next year.

Plant and Armwood to follow.

What do you mean if? It's already happened.
We are in a conference with:
Houston, ECU, SMU, UCF, Tulane, Memphis
And also:
SDSU, Temple, Boise St, Navy
With UL, Cincy, and UConn likely leaving.
We are about to finish another 1-conference-win season in one of the weakest leagues, while paying our coach $2m to do so.
If this isn't CDOA, if this situation doesn't merit new athletic leadership, I don't know what does.

i would like to point out @mhver3 had NO INDICATION that this was coming.

If I knew for a fact he would churn out a couple conference championships and maybe a Miami, Mich St, NC State (2014) win(s), I'd say sure.
We tried a nice guy. I hope the next guy we try wants deep down in his DNA to beat the piss out of every opponent.

I get the logic behind giving Holtz an extension. But, I wonder if something like a performance-based contract exists and would have made sense. This way, we can sign the extension, but have the option to terminate the contract if he isn't as good as we expect.
I've never heard of such a thing. Do they exist? Wouldn't that have been a better option?
Most professional contracts have some performance standards... can coaching contracts do the same, and why didn't we use one?

im one of the rare ones on here that thinks he may actually be on to something. not 100% of it, but some.
i posted in the realignment thread some examples of some calls he made before they actually happened.
Totally disgusted... and disappointed with our fan base.
