  1. Same ******* story. Have the lead in fourth quarter and still lose the game due to ****** defense/inept offense. I hope everyone is letting the administration know how you feel.

Why were we calling the same ****** plays as we were facing a sure loss? Why wasnt our defense PREPARED for a touchdown in the fourth quarter? Why wasnt our offense capable of a first down after like 500 ATTEMPTS?

    ******* ********

    Fire this douche

  2. Have no problem with it. It shows that he acknowledges that something is up. It is good that the players know their positions arent safe and if you dont put heart and blood into every snap you can sit your ass down on the bench. idgaf if we lose, I just want to see the guys who want to play for us, play for us. Didnt like what I saw against Temple.

This! If we lose from fluke plays or just being over-powered, I can swallow that. The head-shaking begins when it seems like a simple lack of being "all in".

Leach is doing this, and has used stronger language.

All Skip is saying, literally, is that he is rewarding effort and productivity, and not just number of years played. I'm in, Coach.

  3. Prepare your livers and your blood pressure for my arrival.

That's right, the once-in-a-lifetime event of me not being here in Tampa to drink while yelling at USF through the TV, and instead, being in Atlanta to yell north-bound toward Louisville, is upon us. Word on the street is the Atlanta bulls meet at Pub 71 on Peachtree Rd (free peaches?). Now, I know GT has a game that day at 3. Will there be a mass of yellow jackets at the bars cockblocking the USF game? Should I expect a herd of stampeding half drunk bulls at said Pub? Can we all cry into each others' arms if we lose? Can we go to Cheetah if we win?

    Who's with me?

  4. Might want to read the full article.

Ramil said he likes Holtz as a coach, was "totally impressed" with him in his personal interactions, and he fully supports Woolard's decision in June to give Holtz an extension through the 2017 season despite a 1-6 record in the Big East in 2011, citing interest from other top programs in hiring the coach away.

"He was a person in demand," Ramil said. "There were a couple of significant openings where he had ties to. I think it was a good, smart move. If we'd have lost him at the end of the season, the reaction would have been, 'Oh, my God, he lost four or five games in the last minute, he's got a great record. Why'd you let him get away?' "

Ramil said he often points to USF football's academic progress under Holtz, how nearly all the team's seniors will have graduated by December, how that improvement parallels higher standards for the university's overall admissions in recent years.

"Right now, given everything in balance, while I wasn't happy after the game, I think I should be patient. I think we all should be patient," Ramil said. "I think Doug Woolard's plan to work on things we can during the season and assess at the end is the right thing to do."

I wouldn't wave good-bye too hard. Not just yet anyway.

LOL, I have been saying the same thing that Ramil said since the Nevada game and all you members gave me a hard time....now all of you have seen the light!

    Fire SKIP STAT!!!!!!!!!!

You didn't bother reading the whole thing, did you?

I think it's a given that Skip gets the rest of the year... That being said, I doubt the BOT lets DW give him another year if he doesn't win 2 more games this season. Not sure if either of you have ever had the opportunity to work with Ramil before but he doesn't have a reputation for working with failure very long. In no way am I saying that we should be going to BCS games every season or anything like that... but this program had a talented team when Skip got here 3 years ago... he hasn't been able to consistently recruit and it's now showing.... there is no reason there should have been a fall off to the point we're at.

Well said, and I'm thankful we have a guy like Ramil with us

  5. http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/content/holtz-ready-shake-bulls-depth-chart

"We're going to let them dictate who's going to play and who's not, by their productivity and their effort. Some things are going to change, because from what I've seen in the last three days, there are some guys that deserve the right to play, guys that are hungry, that really want to be on that field. They've shown that in the last three days."

  6. didn't we open an entire offensive series against ball state by running? I thought we ought to be opening up the play book more. There are several offensive series I liked in the FSU game.

I think stick with the run, and I like the Popek move. Run tough, keep the clock rolling

Open the play book up to look more like the FSU game, meaning sweeps, more TE/short yard/over-the-middle throws, and 3-4 deep route plays a game

I like the defensive suggestions above - i'm a little stumped by that side of the ball.
