  1. Taking a break from the Taggart talk to come allll thee wayyy to the laaasst post on the second page to see what's going on in the Morris thread.

His name is also coming up here and there.

    Clemson this yr:

    13th in passing yards

    32nd in rushing yards

    6th in points.

Don't have 2011 rankings but in 2011 Clemson had 3952 total passing yards, 33 passing TD and 12 INT. 21 rushing TD, 2219 rush yds

Over the past 2 years the Clemson Offense has averaged 4.5 TD per game

If you count his 2010 season as OC of Tulsa, the offenses he has been running for the last 3 seasons have averaged 4.64 TD per game. That's 32 points not counting field goals. If we would have scored 32 pts each game this yr, with a ******* awful defense, we would have been 9-3 and beat FSU.

Taggart is NOT the only out there who can really work wonders on our program.

  2. see this is why i'm saying it doesn't look like he's coming here. but maybe the whole Cristobal thing will show him that he needs to leave cuz crazy things can happen

Just because he said he didn't like people wearing UK gear around WKU? lol

I think that person was referring to the conflicting reports, though maybe I'm wrong

  3. Greg Aumanâ€@gregauman

WKU AD Todd Stewart said he has understanding with Willie Taggart that coach would tell him if any interviews took place ... and he hasn't.

Only and last theory is that Willis hasn't told him yet... Willie is supposed to be back on campus at 5 today for bowl practice. Could be waiting to tell him in person? If not, whatever. On to Morris/Quinn/Coley

  4. Jesus. Let me talk you off the ledge.

Booger went to LSU, and tends to look down on everything else, even other SEC programs.

Reports of the USF job being so down-in-the-dumps are greatly exaggerated. We have confirmed interest from some hot coordinators and coaches. The media is consistently reporting that they are impressed by the pool lining up to interview.

We aren't on top of the world but we are nowhere near the bottom, as some may believe from behind the mic.

  5. Here's his wiki page.

Interesting note: In 2006, when he won the conference div title, Gus Malzahn was his OC  AND McFadden was a Heisman runner-up

Take that away, in the preceding years he was 4-4 in conference, 3-5, 2-6. In the year after he was 4-4 again.

    Good analysis.

Take that away? Why? You could do that to any coach ever....take away what they did good and man they suck! You can play the otherside too:

Because it is important to hire a good coach, not someone fortunate to be the beneficiary of good circumstances. It may be true that Nutt was both. It may not.

  6. I don't think we need a home-run hire necessarily.

I think we need a double, or a triple. This is a program at the bottom of a shaky conference that is on a quest to get back up. We need different things than we needed back in 2010.

The next step right now is not NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, but rather, a CINCY-TYPE level of success that has us competing for a league championship, landing in a bowl game with a BCS-league opponent, and edging the top 25.

Some of these names like Houston Nutt are not home runs. But, I believe he can, in the next 3-4 years, get us over .500, going to bowl games, etc.

I don't think we need a high-risk, high-reward coach. We need someone just to pick us up. When we are standing, then we swing for the home run.
