I doubt all these years the USF administration and coaches weren’t trying (except Charlie Strong). 

It is not easy to generate demand for a losing team, and for the coaches, USF has proven coaching isn't easy. 

A backyard full of speedy athletic talent, and a weak conference, yet stubborn coaches can’t adapt to put together a winning formula (except Taggart in a final act of desperation). 
 

the thing they really needed to do was go for an OCS. That is really the one thing the USF leadership can be faulted for. 

Academically, USF is one of the top potential members. 

For Football, UCF has better recent record, OCS, and more fan support and probably better ratings as a result. 

The new Big 12 will be the weakest “P5.” Will be treated like the old Big East, but overall still have a better playoff contention SOS than the AAC. Will definitely need to be undefeated though. 

I will always be a USF fan and show support. I appreciate USF for more than just football.
 

Though the prospect of the football team being left in a weak conference with perpetual coaching failures is demoralizing. 

I’ve been wanting a 40k seat stadium for years. We need game day on campus to engage students and build a fan base of students and alumni. Being off campus football is ignored by many students. 
 

It doesn’t need to be huge to engage students. 
 

USF missed the boat. The ship has sailed. Building materials now are double-triple what they were a few years ago. Should have locked in a price years ago.

Gus actually made bowl games frequently while playing in the SEC. I think his firing is similar to those who wanted Jim Leavitt out for under performance. 

Shocking a coach who won a National championship ended up at UCF. 
 

This is a good hire for them.

I can’t even remember a hyped up high school recruit that turned out to be the real deal except maybe Flowers, and Mack.

A recent transfer that has played to the hype in my opinion is Sails, he is solid. 
 

Really I don’t get hyped for any recruits anymore. I only look at in game performance now. 

This needs more context. 
Women’s basketball.

Offense getting better as the year went on. 
the offense is going in the right direction.
The defense is terrible. Probably need a new coordinator.

Overall, Jeff Scott has us pointed where we need to go. I think he will get us there. 

Biggest issue was giving UCF 58 points. 

Joiner fumbles didn’t help either.

Its very hard to cover for more than 3-4 seconds as a DB.

Early in the game our secondary was getting beat frequently.

I think Charlie Strong’s last year took the team backwards. No good players, no good coaching. 
What Jeff Scott was handed is not much different than working with a roster of only freshman. 

I support the coaches too. 
 

1% improvements add up slowly at first, but as they accumulate they become and unstoppable force.

It’s official, this team is now tied with the worst team in USF history. The QB fumbles and missed hand offs the same issues we had that horrible season.

Yeah, so this is a 2 point attempt and the defense is going to be alert to the fact we might do something similar again. 
 

That play was awful. 
Any defense would have stopped it.
