  1. Why? The D line loses some talent but the LB and DB corps both probably upgrade with the level of experience the young guns now have.
  2. http://espn.go.com/blog/bigeast/post/_/id/16263/cardinals-land-pair-of-miami-stars What a joke...
  3. I think Strong will be more loyal to UL than Skip will be to us. Lvile is the team that finally gave him a HC gig that he deserved.
  4. smh strong is a master recruiter if he gets this kid, he's changed the perception of lousville from doormat to possible contender (apparently) in a single...6-6...season.
  5. I get that BJ was the #8 dual threat quarterback in the country when we got him. Bridgewater is the #2 quaterback in the country according to Scout. Not dual threat, but QB overall. It's amazing the #2 guy overall in the country could be in our class and on our field. I don't believe BJ even cracked the top 20 as an overall quarterback prospect. To answer your question, yes he's in a different level than our previous QB recruits.
  6. This kid isn't a dual threat in the same mold as BJ and Grothe; that is, legs first, arm second. He is more of a dual threat in the Eugene Smith of WVU. That is, ability to run, but accurate passer first.
  7. This kid is a 5 star recruit on Scout. When was the last time we got a 5 star recruit out of HS? Never? Ryne was a 4 star if I'm not mistaken as was T-Rex.
  8. We'd need to not honor some commitments if we managed to get Bridgewater and Chickillo to commit during their visits this weekend because the flood afterward would be epic. I hope we get at least one of em. Think we have a shot for both.
  9. Honestly, if he's down on Miami now with Shannon gone we appear to be the best remaining fit for him. Teams like LSU and UL have already grabbed pretty spectacular QB recruits that he'd have to compete against, he would literally walk in here day 1 and be the starter.
  10. He's gonna go to Louisville most likely. What an amazing coup that would be for them. He doesn't sound very high on Miami. He just twittered: " TBridgewater5 - why cant Miami get an on campus stadium?" Not something we can offer an alternative to though.
  11. +1 Like really, because we have a 3 star QB in our recruiting class we should just quit looking at others that may be interested?
  12. You'd kind of hope that train of thought would hold true for ALL our recruits ... you know, like not making snide comments about drunk qb's in the huddle and such. : I have never made a "snide" comment about a drunk QB in a huddle. Who replaces him, Stevie(drunk in the huddle) Weatherford? Maybe BJ in a further departure from sanity? Jamius who looks big and strong but will have his own growing pains? WHO???????? http://thebullspen.com/index.php?topic=76654.msg869163#msg869163 PWNAGE LMAO
  13. All of your "big" achievements come with caveats: 1. Conference championship was in a horrible C-USA (this year's C-USA is even worse) and you got dismantled by every BCS team you played that year. UT, USF, and UK. 2. Beat a top 25 team, that was not a BCS team. 3. Ranked in the top 25, but only in the AP and Coaches, no BCS ranking because the computers weren't stupid enough to give a 2-loss team with no impressive victory a ranking. Congrats on all your achievements, it's a sign of progress from your team, it really is. However, it' s nothing to get overly antagonistic about.
  14. That's why I said TOP 25 BCS TEAM. Houston is not a BCS team, but an overrated non-BCS team just like you were for a week this year. So, congrats.
  15. Chad, God love you but....several teams would give us MORE than a run for our money. Let's see how we do in the finish...before we raise a State trophy...just sayin. are you really a UCF fan? I don't think I've yet to see you compliment UCF in any of your posts...not saying to be a huge homer for your team but just seems odd..... Why does he not have to really be a fan? Back when we were #2 and #10 in the country most of our fans did not think we'd be beating UF who was ranked beneath us. It's just stupid, really. Your best wins are vs. Houston and ECU. You failed to beat fringe top 25 BCS teams in Kansas St. and NC State for the 20th year in a row.
  16. If they just get up for the UF game they should have a bunch of others to start the season and go through the motions. By the time midseason comes they can slump and hopefully Love/Griffin will be ready to make a big impact.
  17. Actually, picking Best didn't have much to do with Smith. Smith simply wasn't able to carry the load as THE guy. FWIW, neither is Best. The hope is that a Best/Smith combo complements each other well and should be able to not break down. Neither guy is a 20+ carry back. Personally, I think Kevin is done, which is a shame. He put too many miles on at UCiF.
  18. I wonder if Charlie Strong's presence isn't as great as anticipated? He's lost 2 significant FL players in Wilson and Chandler so far on signing day.
  19. I'd rather UCF not stay close to us in recruiting! How could they land this kid but not us? I guess all his buddies going there?
  20. Not sure if this is main board material or not but it's pretty significant that he decommitted from Louisville and didn't come back to us but instead went to UCF.
