  1. “On September 7, 2013, the Longhorns' defense, under Diaz, gave up a school record 550 yards rushing to Brigham Young University, including 257 to quarterback Taysom Hill. The following day, Mack Brown described the defensive performance as "unacceptable" and relieved Diaz of his duties as defensive coordinator.”

I'm not quite sure why a flagship state school like Colorado with more money than us, better conference, their own stadium, and presumably better facilities would get screwed, and not the other way around.

Money talks. Unless we matched what CU offered, we're most likely not getting Primetime as HC. He already did his charity case with JSU, he's earned the right to a fat paycheck. He would excel at USF, but he would be foolish to take less money to go to a lesser program. Hope I'm wrong and he sees the upside of USF.

I agree with most of this but at the same time, if I'm Prime Time, I also see:

    I see Tampa:

We know money ain't an issue for him so that ^ might fluctuate his thinking if we're lucky.

Manny has a top defense at Penn state. He is a defensive mastermind. We don't need to go 12 and 0 right away. We just need someone to fix us up. He can do that and I can see him being a long term guy with us being a Floridian.

We won 1 FBS game the last 3 years remember. 8 wins in the ACC would be pretty good.

He was also fired two games into a season at Texas after his defense gave up a record number of yards and also left Temple high and dry only two weeks after agreeing to become their head coach.

I don't think he has to prove he can recruit, I think that is a given... he needs to prove that he can COACH. CWT could recruit and in the AAC, if you out-talent everyone, you can win a lot of games. At JSU, Prime has been able to recruit and has more talent than anyone on their schedule. What happens if/when he goes to FSU for example and he's pulling in top 15 recruiting classes, but he's playing Clemson, UF, UM, etc every year? Can he coach? Can he take that talent and beat equal talent with it? That is the thing he needs to prove. Unfortunately, most schools don't let you jump there without some steps and we can be that step... then, we need to pull for Norvell to win so that FSU doesn't open up for him.

    This is true.

It's a bit worrisome that Coach Prime admittedly makes coaching decisions based on what he thinks the Barstool guys are gonna think of him (unless that conversation was purely for comical purposes). Seems like he's getting away with simply out-talenting his FCS competition. We can only hope the same strategy works here as well.
