I agree with you. Some of their players were preaching they have to contain him in the run game, he’ll have to throw in order for us to move the ball. Q has a good arm and is pretty accurate (aside from last game), I have confidence it may be a good thing to get skill players open in space.

Um, when has he been accurate? He's a great college QB, but he's not a thrower.

I must be missing something -- why would he be anticipating that?  Is Willie Taggart going to interrupt the game WWE style by running through the tunnel, hit Sterling Gilbert over the head with a steel chair, give CCS a Stone Cold Stunner, and take over playcalling duties? Because that's what would need to happen for us to see the GCO on Friday...

I've been wondering when\if QF will speak up to Strong like he did with Taggart about letting him go.

If there was a time it is this week, QF. Get rid of this scared play calling BS.

I tend to agree. An athletic, mobile QB covers up so many deficiencies on offense that even a really good pocket passer can't. O-line failures, RB fails to pick up a block, WR runs the wrong route....there isn't much a good pocket passer can do to cover up these deficiencies other than throw the ball away or tuck it and minimize the damage. A QB like QF can turn what would be a 5 yard loss on 2nd and 8 into a 3 yard gain, making a 3rd and 13 a much more manageable 3rd and 5. Those are the subtle plays that lead to wins.

    Agree with this.

This is the scariest thing about the offense moving forward, both this season and next.

Before the season I anticipated a drop in carries for Quinton by about 5 a game. Both from a slightly more pro style spread, and from blowing teams out and not needing Q for at least 1/4 of every game.

I am worried what the miles will do for Q for the rest of this season, our schedule has been whack with the hurricanes so hopefully he won't be too worn down for the games that on paper will be more competitive.

I am also worried what it means for the O next season. Obviously it will be pretty hectic with basically new starters at all the skill positions, but I don't see Kean or Dunkin(TM) being the type of QB's who can lead the team in carries and the O be a success.

He goes down as soon as he feels somebody next to him. It's not like he's trucking people every time he runs.

Next year is gonna be tough.

I was there too.  In the early 2000’s until the most recent administrations, I would agree.  We were stealth and calculated, while they needed to put on a big show to get noticed and in my opinion rushes their stadium, etc.

However, we didn’t capitalize enough on our early success and relied on the nostalgia of the “good ol’ days” and “sleeping giant” of young program.  Our past admin gave bad contracts, did little to stabilize the programs, and burnt bridges with the community.  The current one doesn’t seem to understand the culture and is not nearly as agreesive or proactive as we need.  I’m sure I’m not 100% right, but TODAYS Admin of UCF is rubbing circles around USFs.  And in college athletics lately is all that matters, especially since we don’t have history to sell.

    This.
