  1. It's really intolerable.

I don't understand how a player who received his AA degree from a Florida JUCO is not accepted into USF.

Why doesn't Heath ever show any outrage in this happening to his signees? Is he so afraid to speak out in support of these players? Is there no appeal process for the player to go through? There needs to be some answers.

How do you know that Heath hasn't shown any outrage?

  2. After the true elite schools it's all a crap shoot in my opinion. Yes, certain programs put you in better position at certain schools but a lot is determined by what YOU put into it.

My dad went to Florida Tech (no, not UCF lol), which had even less recognition back then. You wouldn't think that man went to a school ranked 453 based on his career though. Just sayin.

  3. they are not the old or new nike

nike is in a class by themselves

hopefully there will be more usf products for sale

Maybe in your mind but in the real world, not really. Not like they used to be. UA is definitely the new hotness and Nike knows it. UA and their innovative designs is why Nike is putting out their Nike Pro Combat uniforms. In 15 years going from a garage to billion dollar plus company outfitting dozens of division 1 universities is because of their innovation and style. Reebok and Starter and Champion and Adidas and Puma had their day when they were the hottest in sports apparel. Nike's beyond their peak, UA is going up. So much so that last year the rumor was that Nike was going to buy them.

Strongly disagree Nike is beyond their peak. What sign of a decline have you seen? They just signed with the NFL! And I think you ignore the international popularity Puma has that Under Armour doesn't have (yet). Although, Under Armour finally broke into the English Premier league where they Ironically replaced Puma as Tottenhams jersey manufacturer.

  4. My friend at FSU sent me a question about tickets to this game yesterday. Says he has a few fraternity brothers just paying the $150 for the season ticket. Those are STUDENTS doing that.... I don't want to think about the boosters. It's 2 months from the game and their students are planning this far ahead. ****, I doubt half of our student body knows we are playing them this year, let alone in Tampa.

This one will be ugly my friends.

  5. I'm making this trip. Its my first out of state away game and i cant wait! Im staying with a fellow Bull who now goes to Podiatry school at Temple. Im Leaving Friday afternoon after class, having my roommate drop me off at the terminal, and flying direct Tampa to Philly. Then ill just be taking the train to my buddy's apartment right next to City Hall in center city. I fly back to Tampa Sunday night.

My dad has a ton of frequent flyer miles from work and he was nice enough to help me out with this short trip up. All I had to do was pay $30 in fees for the flight, and I have a couch to crash on, so my only real expense will likely be whatever I spend at the bar Friday and Saturday nights! Haha

  6. First gig. Not even Disney World was perfect when it first opened.

And UCFers can laugh all they want, cause I'm sure they've never ever had a problem with an event at their arena.

Or where people suffered heat exhaustion at the opening of a certain stadium.

  7. Being drafted in baseball really isn't that big of a deal. I think that there are over 30 rounds.

I'm hoping with the new facilities and the success of the ladies softball team, Prado will have a fire lit under his ass.

If its not a big deal then why did we only have 3 players drafted from a team with a lot of upper classmen??? Hmmmmmm

Possibly becasue we sucked out loud? HMMMMMMMM...WTF??

I realize this. It seemed like you were trying to go against the sherrifs argument by saying its no big deal usf didn't have as many draftees as stony brook due to it not being a big deal.

And yes skingraft, I realize how the MLB draft works. I have friends in the minors, friends that turned down draft picks for college, and a couple that were taken this year as well. Thanks for explaining it to others though since the MLB draft isn't common knowledge to the general public such as the NFL draft.

  8. Andrew Barbosa finally gets taken in the 36th Round. He'll join Stultz with the Arizona Diamondbacks. I can't believe it took this long for him to go.

I think age and injury history played a role.

Stultz is in the same boat. He's been injured and stayed a 5th year. Although I think AB has a few more years on him.

Stultz just turned 23 in March, Barbosa is 24 and turning 25 in November. A year and a half might not exactly explain a 20 round difference, but it is a big difference in how one views a prospect.
